Rustic Mountain View Cabin: "Bigfoot Retreat "

The cabin offers a full kitchen and 3 queen beds! It sits high up on the peak of Coon Mountain, 20 miles from Camden and Belfast in Mid-coast Maine. Facing east, it provides dramatic sun rises over the nearby mountains. This hand-crafted whimsical cabin provides a home base for exploring this endlessly interesting region. Right out the door is a trail down to the valley with marshes and ponds to explore. 2 miles away is the spring fed Lake St. George, with incredibly clean and clear water. The space In the cabin you will find space for cooking, comfortable beds, and a porch for relaxing and taking in the views. The cozy and creative space will encourage you to unwind, and maybe curl up and read a book. In the evening, fire up the wood burning sauna, or settle in around the campfire sharing stories. You will be surrounded by a forest on this 6 acre property. Guest access Take Coon Mountain lane down back then around the corner and its the first cabin on your left. On top of Coon mountain on a gravel road. The exterior is brown. You have the whole cabin to yourself. Self Check in. Other things to note After spending time at the lake, or exploring the mid-coast region, head to John’s Ice Cream Factory for some of the best homemade ice cream in the area, or stop and sample the newest brews at Lake St. George Brewing, and grab dinner from the food truck.
