Inside, enjoy an electric fireplace, plush furnishings, a Queen bed, and a full kitchen. Fibre-optic Wi-Fi available—though you might just forget you need it. The space Perched right on the water, our Lakehouse is pure magic — especially in the early morning, when mist rolls across the glassy surface, wrapping the world in quiet. (Fresh lake breezes and full A/C keep the cabin cool and comfortable year-round.) Inside, you’ll find a cozy, thoughtfully designed retreat — featuring Scandinavian-style interiors with clean lines, natural textures, and cozy details that invite you to relax and unwind. (We believe the best spaces are simple, beautiful, and deeply comfortable.) Unplug with a stack of classic board games, curl up with a good book, or simply sink into the serene surroundings and watch the lake shimmer outside your window. To reach the house, you’ll descend nature’s staircase — a rustic set of steps winding down through the trees. (We recommend booking only if you're comfortable with a little adventure — and your pet is too!) Outside, the real magic begins: 🚣‍♂️ Glide across the lake in the canoe (lifejackets provided). 🎣 Cast a line from the dock or grab a fishing rod from the boathouse. 🔥 Gather around the firepit as the stars spill across the night sky. 🪑 Lounge in deck chairs with a cocktail and the fresh scent of the woods in the air. 🥩 Fire up the outdoor Coleman charcoal BBQ (bring your own charcoal) and grill a lakeside feast as the sun dips below the trees. All this, just 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants at Bayer’s Lake — close enough for convenience yet tucked away in a world of your own. Please Note: While our space offers a peaceful and private retreat, the lake is shared by neighbouring cottages. You may see other families enjoying the water during your stay. We ask all guests to be respectful of the shared environment and our friendly neighbours. Guest access Dreamy Lakefront View Retreat House has a lot to offer — and it's all designed for your comfort and relaxation. Start your day with breathtaking views and luxurious touches, including plush robes and slippers for cozy mornings and quiet moments in our spa house. Take a refreshing dip in the lake for a natural cold plunge experience, or simply lounge on the deck and let the world slow down. Feel like fishing? Head to the boathouse, where you'll find fishing rods ready to go — just bring your bait and you're set. In the winter months, we shovel the snow on cleaning days. If there’s fresh snowfall between visits, you'll find a snow shovel and pet-friendly salt available to keep everything easy and safe. Please note there are 59 rustic stairs leading down to the secluded property. If you or your pet have mobility concerns, we recommend booking only if you're comfortable navigating nature's staircase. We also have a maintenance team who help care for the property year-round, including yard work, grass cutting, garden care, and garbage management. You may occasionally see our groundskeeper, Daniel, during your stay. He’ll always do his best to keep visits quick and discreet to respect your privacy. Other things to note ✨ Guest Information & House Policies We’re honored to host you in our lakeside retreat — a space our family has lovingly cared for over the years. To help us preserve its beauty and comfort for future guests (and for you!), we kindly ask that you review the simple guidelines below. These policies are in place to protect the property and ensure every guest enjoys the peaceful, luxurious experience they deserve. Thank you for treating our home with the same care and respect you would your own. 🏡 Check-In & Access The key will be left for you in a lockbox so you can arrive whenever you please after standard check-in time. We’ll send you the lockbox code prior to your arrival. There are 59 rustic steps leading down to the house — please book accordingly if you or your pet have any mobility concerns. 👥 Registered Guests Only Our home is reserved for registered guests only. If additional people are brought onto the property without prior approval, a fee of $40 per person applies. Please notify us in advance if you plan to have extra guests. 🐾 Pets We love welcoming your sweet pups! 🐶 No additional pet fee for well-behaved pets. Please notify us before arrival if you’re bringing a pet. Kindly clean up after your pets during your stay. Important: If excessive pet hair, odors, or waste require additional cleaning beyond our standard process, a fee of $100 may apply. Thank you for helping us keep the lakehouse beautiful for everyone! 🚭 Smoking Policy Smoking is not permitted inside the home or near open windows/doors. Evidence of smoking or lingering odors will result in a $250 deep cleaning fee. 🔑 Keys Please return the key to the lockbox at checkout. Lost key replacement fee: $100 Full rekeying fee (if key is not returned within 7 days): $300 ⏰ Early Check-In / Late Checkout Early check-in (if available and approved the day before): $50 Late checkout after 11:00 AM: $50 per half-hour 🛠️ Maintenance Our property care specialist, Daniel, maintains the lawn, gardens, and waste areas. You may see him briefly during your stay. He always aims to be quick and discreet to respect your privacy.
