The Natchez Gaol, Downtown Natchez
Unique freshly restored commercial building in Downtown Natchez. Large front room ideal for meeting clients or dining. Front room has 2 double beds, dining table, vintage pinball machine, bookcases, and a desk. In back, a large kitchen with breakfast bar, sitting area, and sleeping loft with a King Size bed. Building has a Laundry Room with washer and dryer. Full bath with tub and shower, plus separate 1/2 bath. There is private off street parking. We charge NO additional cleaning fee. The space Entire 1,370 square foot building, with central air and heat. Building built in 1870 and was once the Natchez Pawn Shop. Building is extremely secure, retaining bars on the front windows, which is why we named it The Natchez Gaol, (an old English word for Jail). The building is decorated with an eclectic mix of furnishings and art. The building has a Pinball Machine, cable TV, smart TV, Wi-Fi, games and puzzles —if you are lucky to be sheltering in Natchez for hurricane season or global pandemics! Guest access Guests get keys to the front and back doors, as well as gate access to the shared courtyard. Check in’s before 5 pm Monday to Saturday will be at Lower Lodge Antiques at 712 Franklin Street. Owner lives at 716 Franklin Street, so later check ins are available. Other things to note We are happy to accommodate special requests - or stock groceries. All guests receive a welcome gift :) For long-term stays, additional maid service is available (fees may apply). Our guests also have use of a “member only” pool in downtown Natchez. Pool has a lifeguard but requires parental supervision. (Pool is about 7 blocks away). Quick drive.
