Beautiful Lake Sylvia Home

While surrounded by trees that sooth your soul, enjoy extraordinary views of Lake Sylvia from our home built in 2001. Vintage decor with modern day amenities. We have 3 separate beaches on our property, so you won't step on toes while dipping your toes into clear spring fed lake with sandy bottom. We are the owners, not property managers, so expect attention to detail and a "homey" feel. We are 1 hr from Minneapolis. Enjoy nearby amenities including a large flea market, brewery, and winery. The space On 2 acres, you will only see one neighbor, and have plenty of privacy. Kids and adults will enjoy the adventure that awaits, with paths and hills to climb! We may have the best swim spot on the lake, which boasts a large area of gentle sloping sand, all at the point that we own. All this, plus stand up paddle boards and kayaks included! The deck, screened-in porch and beach below all have comfy outdoor furniture, which we ask to be put away if rain is forecasted. The open floor plan allows you to be with family/friends and see the lake from the kitchen. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, one with California King and non-attached large bath. Other room has attached bath and 1 queen. So, it feels like there are 2 Main bedrooms! Downstairs basement is unfinished walk-out with windows. Basement has sleeping for 6 (1 bedroom has 2 twins and 2nd bedroom has a bunk, with twin on top, full on bottom and a twin trundle bed). If only adults are coming, 8 (or less) would be the magic number for ultimate comfort! Plus, 1 more finished bathroom downstairs, making it a total of 3 bathrooms (no bathtub, only showers). Laundry room and ping pong table also provided. Very large dining table that fits 10 people for sit down meals. Slowly but surely we are transforming the furniture into mid-century modern style. We think you will enjoy this relaxed and quiet setting. Guest access You will have access to 95% of 2600 square ft house (1/2 finished, 1/2 unfinished floor/ceiling). There is a slight chance that we, the hosts, will stay a night or 2 in our Airstream trailer, which is up a hill and 250 feet away from the house, but this is so rare, we have yet to do it! Ha! If we stay in the trailer, we may end up using our boat on the 2nd dock, on the opposite side of the property far from our guests' beaches and dock. Basically, you won't even see us! The Airstream may be available to rent as well, so if you have ever dreamed of sleeping in a 1966 silver bullet, with blonde wood interior, please inquire! Other things to note We have a fun screened-in Tiki Hut (transformed shed!), which sits on a sandy beach and has its' own deck. We have retro turquoise lounge chairs that must remain at the Tiki, but 3 other brown zero gravity loungers that can be moved to the shallow water at the point. We also have folding chairs that can sit in the water, but feel free to bring your own, because there is plenty of shallow water to rest in, on those very hot days! Speaking of hot days, we do not have central AC, but do have portable AC machines and each bedroom has a ceiling fan. Near the Tiki rests our Stand Up Paddle Boards and Kayaks. It is a perfectly level spot to launch, into the gradual sloping lakeshore. Please be gentle with these expensive toys! We have a beautiful fire pit, with comfortable seating for 10. It is another private oasis on the property, which overlooks both bays.
