The Goodale Park Overlook is a 2-story apartment in a fantastic vintage brick duplex. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, and custom touches will make this a unique and memorable stay! Enjoy a clear view of Goodale Park from the front balcony or walk 5 minutes to High Street shopping and dining. Plenty of room for larger groups with 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and 3 separate living room areas. Street parking is $3/night. The apartment spans the entire second and third floors of the building. You will enter through the front door and come straight up the stairs to the second floor. This leads to the front living room (with the balcony) and the first bedroom with a queen bed. Moving down the hallway, you will find the second bedroom with two twin beds, and a hallway bathroom. At the other end of the first floor, there is a second living room area, the "master" bedroom, and the kitchen. The master bedroom has a king bed with en suite bathroom. Please note - the entrance to the en suite bathroom does not have door - the bathroom is arranged so that the shower and toilet are not visible from the bedroom. The door to the third floor is in the corner of the kitchen. The third floor includes a sitting area and a queen bed at the back of the space, with another full bathroom. Note - the shower is open to the bedroom area. The ceilings are fairly low up here - maybe about 7 feet at the center. You will have private access to the entire apartment, using a keypad lock on the front door. The kitchen has a back staircase, leading to a basement laundry room and exterior door. You can lock the kitchen door from inside the apartment. Other people may occasionally need to use the back exterior door to access the basement storage/ laundry area. We live nearby and can be available if needed, but we typically do not meet our guests in person. The furnace is located in a mechanical room at the back of the third floor, past the bedroom. On cold winter days, the furnace will run a lot and this causes the third floor to be quite warm. If your group plans to use the 4th bedroom up on the third floor, please be aware that it may be much warmer up there than on the second floor. There is a fan available and the windows can be opened slightly if needed. The third floor can also be warmer on very hot summer days. There is central AC and a window AC unit as well, but on very hot days it can still be a bit warmer on the third floor. The TVs do not have cable or access to any free live channels. It is a “smart” TV only. You will need to log into your own streaming accounts to play content on the TV.
