A Magical Getaway with Alpacas

Less than an hour from Fort Worth and Dallas, you will find a magical retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, situated on a 32-acre family-owned, working alpaca ranch. Our 2BR/2BA guest house is private, clean, and spacious and has all the amenities you need to truly relax, enjoy the fresh air, and savor the peace and quiet. The space Just steps from the front porch of the Airbnb are acres of pastures where our 50+ alpacas spend their days grazing. Our “moms and babies” barn is up the hill by our main house, where you will also find our turkey, roosters, chickens, and hens. Scarlett, our beloved black Labrador, roams the property and will surely greet you at some point during your stay. Up the hill, behind our private home, we have a resort-style pool, which we make available to registered Airbnb guests from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (in season). The pool overlooks our back pastures where our moms and babies frequently roam in the afternoon. We also have a creek and pond where you can fish, weather permitting. During your stay, we invite you to take a farm tour to get an up-close-and-personal experience with our award-winning alpacas. We love sharing our knowledge of the breed and their place in sustainable ranching. We will walk you through the barns and let you feed and take photos with these beautiful and captivating creatures. We guarantee you will fall in love with them too! We invite you to shop in our store as well, which features hundreds of alpaca products and gifts. We sell rugs, yarn, and other items that use fleece from our national award winners; we also sell farm-fresh eggs straight from the chicken coop (you’ll find a few in the refrigerator upon your arrival; our gift to you!). If you are looking to get away from it all, gaze up at the stars against a pure, black sky at night, walk among the alpacas and other animals, and just be in the present amidst a serene backdrop, we have just the place for you. Guest access Please note that this is a 365-day-a-year working ranch with livestock. We are pleased to share this unique experience with our guests, but ask, in return, that you respect our instructions about access, including pool hours and numbers of guests allowed, so as to not overwhelm or frighten our alpacas. Also, we are in the country, so please know that you may encounter animal poop, bugs, armadillos, and other wild animals on our property! Once your reservation is confirmed, we will send you a list of instructions and do’s and don’ts that will help make your stay an unforgettable, five-star, and highly personal experience. Other things to note - Check-in time: 4:00 pm; Front gate will be open. - Check out time: 11:00 am. With COVID-19, we conduct a very deep disinfectant cleaning program, and need to allow our Housekeeper ample time to fully clean the property before the next guests arrive. *IMPORTANT* - We discourage pets on our property to ensure the safety of our alpacas and our guests' pets. However, we will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis, and a security deposit will be required. -Common area bathroom for store customers and staff. Please leave access when not in use. - This is a 100% Smoke-Free property (including cigarettes', cigars, vapors and marijuana) - Guest house/Parking: When you arrive, follow the drive to the first house on the right. Parking is right in front. - Keys: The front door will be unlocked and you will find the key on the counter. Please leave key on the same counter and the door unlocked when you check out. - Check-out procedures: Please take the trash to the front porch. Please place dirty linens and towels in the laundry room. - Pool: No swimming without signed waiver for each registered guest. No outside guests permitted. Pool hours are 10:00 am – 4:00 pm unless otherwise scheduled. No running. Please make sure umbrellas are safe during use and down once you leave. No glass around the pool. - Please be conscientious about thermostats, lights and electronics. - NO parties or additional guests. - If you happen to break something, please let us know. - Farm Fresh Eggs: There will be some farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator, so feel free to help yourself. If you want more, we have both chicken and turkey eggs for sale ($4.00 a dozen for chicken eggs and $6.00 a dozen for turkey eggs). - Alpacas: Our Alpacas are in pens and can be viewed from the guesthouse. If you are interested in interacting with them, let us know and we are happy to provide you with a farm tour.
