This genuine rustic cabin is thoughtfully tucked 1100 feet off a quiet country road. From the front porch, you'll be captivated by a sweeping 5-mile view that stretches across hundreds of acres, offering spectacular vistas from dawn till dusk. The one-of-a-kind cabin was hand-built in 1963 by a local backwoodsman, with every piece of wood sourced directly from the property. Look closely at the rafters above the kitchen table, and you might even spot the builder's name etched into the beams. Our property is perfect for various gatherings, offering a secluded retreat for: -Romantic evenings or weekend getaways. -Family trips, with plenty of space to make memories around the fire pit, on the front porch, or exploring the 50 acres. -A relaxing getaway for friends. For hunting enthusiasts, our 25 acres of woods are prime white-tail deer and turkey hunting grounds. We have several feeders and tree stands set up in key locations: -Deer hunting is available for $100 per day per hunter. -Turkey or small game hunting is $50 per day per hunter. -Each hunter is required to sign a daily hunting lease. Discover unique glacier boulders within the property's woods, which many guests enjoy climbing and photographing. You'll also find plenty of fallen limbs and firewood for the fire pit, or you can purchase freshly cut wood from our neighbors next door. Beside the cabin, a shaded yard area nestled under the canopy of surrounding woods provides a park-like setting, complete with a picnic table and a fire pit, perfect for escaping the midday heat. In terms of location, you will feel so far-out and secluded, but will be so close to so much...... -Cabin is the closest place to stay from the sought after Longaberger Golf Course, now known as "The Virtues". So whether you are looking to tee it up or a great place to have dinner you will be only 3 miles away. -Downtown Newark and nearby Granville are only 15 minutes and 25 minutes respectively to the west down US 16...... further to the west you can be on the east side of Columbus in the New Albany area in a short 35 minute drive from our cabin. -Dillon State Park and lake is roughly 9 miles to the south right down 146 and only a 10 minute drive. Zanesville is just a bit further down 146 and 20 minutes to the south. -Coshocton Ohio and historic Roscoe Village is only 25 minutes to the east directly down US St Route 16. -The road that the property sits on is great for morning or evening walks and there is a dollar store just 1 mile down the road. We know you will make unforgettable memories at Sunset Fields. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire cabin and all 50 private acres. Access to the cabin is simple and convenient with a digital door-lock located on the front of the cabin.
