Marfa House Pinto Canyon, in the Center of Marfa

Marfa House, originally built as a railroad hotel in 1892, offers an oasis of comfort in the heart of Marfa's historic center, steps from galleries, restaurants, and shops. Pinto Canyon offers a full kitchen and dining room, a gas fireplace, as well as solid-wood beds, premium bedding, and furnishings and original art with a contemporary and West Texas flair. Both living room and the bedroom have TVs; and guests have access to comfortable common areas, including gallery seating and the balcony. The space Pinto Canyon is a second-floor one-bedroom/one-bath apartment with a living room and a fully equipped dining room/kitchen. The bedrooms has a queen=sized bed. The living room has a Roku-configured TV. Guests have common access to the 2nd floor balcony, the common-area gallery and entry atrium area with a large-screen TV. Guest access Pinto Canyon guests access the property by walking up the paved and lighted walkway to a gated courtyard at the rear of Marfa House, entering the screened atrium entry with a keycode, and into the downstairs hall with a keycode. The keypad entry to the Pinto Canyon apartment is upstairs and immediately to the left at the top of the stairway. All guests have access to the common areas: the front gallery, the front balcony, and the screened atrium with firepit and a large-screen TV. Other things to note The South bedroom, with balcony access, is furnished with a king-sized bed, but this bedroom may be configured for two twin beds, if the guests desire. Just let us know when you book! Marfa is a railroad town: established in 1883 as a water stop on the Southern Pacific Railroad. Marfa House was a railroad hotel and is still located 100 yards from the SP tracks. Trains pass through up to 12 times a day and sound their air horns at the three main crossings in town, so guests may hear TRAIN SOUNDS at any time of the day or night. Most of our guests are not bothered, and we believe this is part of the romance of West Texas.
