Description
Poplar Place draws its name from the poplar tree siding custom milled for the home. Situated on a scenic Civil War driving tour, the home is the result of a major renovation and addition to an 1840 farm house. The staircase is original as is the kitchen/dining area oak flooring. Six can sleep comfortably with two bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a convertible sofa. Poplar Place has central heat and air, an all glass living room, stocked kitchen, large master bath and main level half bath. The space There is also a wonderful creek that runs through the center of the property. The large yard is fenced and shared with other guests, so please pick up after your pet. Other things to note Because there is another unit on the ground floor of the house (The Woodsy Lair), we ask guests to refrain from excessive noise after 11 pm. The basement level of the home is listed separately (the Woodsy Lair), accessed separately and does not share interior common space with Poplar Place. We offer a discount for renting both spaces. Pets under about 50 lbs are welcomed at an additional fee of $40 per pet, per stay, but must be crated when unattended. I can make exceptions to the fee structure for small dogs or multiple pets. In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 71 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees. If you are booking on behalf of a Travel Business, Airbnb staff has advised us to collect photo IDs of guests that will actually be at the property (if those guests do not already have a valid Airbnb account).
