Trillium Nest - Private and Quiet 2BR/1 bath

Lake Placid is one of NY's most visited sites in the Adirondacks! Our place is conveniently located within a 15-20 minute walking distance to the village of Main street. Summertime activities include kayaking, boat rentals, SUP, swimming around Mirror lake. For bigger adventures - Lake Placid is about a 5-10 minute drive. Wintertime activities include skiing or snowboarding at Whiteface Mountain, about 15 minutes from the nest! It has the highest vertical drop in all of the northeast! The space ***PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY TO UNDERSTAND OUR HOME BEFORE BOOKING SO YOU ARE AWARE OF THE CONDITIONS!!!*** ***30 NIGHT MINIMUM BOOKING, PLEASE MESSAGE TO INQUIRE*** Trillium Nest is our guest house right next to the main home. You will have complete access to the apartment with a private entrance from the garage that leads up to the apartment. This fits up to 5 people. Trillium Chalet is the main home located a few feet away from the apartment. This can fit up to 10 people. If you would like to rent the entire home with the apartment, please message me directly to inquire. Or, you can check out our other listing called "Trillium Chalet". You can check yourself in with the key located in the lock box. We will provide you with the code one day before your trip. There are two bedrooms with a Queen bed and a Full bed in the other. The living room has a joy sleeper sofa that turns into a daybed that can fit one adult or two children comfortably. The space offers a full bathroom and is also equipped with a full kitchen. Parking available right on site - Maximum number of cars = 2 Our home was built in 2001, while still maintaining its shape, my family and I have worked tirelessly to make it a home where we can come to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. While we offer our home as a rental to our guests, we do have a few things we'd like to disclose to you prior to booking: - Some of the window screens have holes in them so if the windows are open, flies do tend to come inside - The kitchen screen door does not close fully and needs to be replaced - One of the bedrooms do not have any drawers, but there are closets with hangers available to hang your clothes. Please be sure to strictly follow the instructions regarding checkout as this will ensure a timely cleaning and check-in process for our next guest. If house rules and instructions are not followed, we will charge an extra $25 fee for each house rule not followed. Our home is in the Adirondacks and within a foresty and wooded area. There are many little critters that love to go around our home - spiders is a big one, mice, flies, mosquitoes, cats, bugs, and many other insects. We have a pretty good seal in our home, but please be aware that we do live in a pretty remote area with forests and woods so they are expected. We ask you to keep all doors to the home closed at all times especially if you step out, even if it's just for a second. We are very happy of our home but do know that certain guests expect perfection. If you can accept these minimal flaws, then we are happy to host you and have you enjoy the comfort of our home. Our home is a continued work in progress and we are excited to continue adding to it to make it fun and relaxing for all of our guests. Please be mindful that my family or other renters may occupy the main home during your stay. The patio to the right of the deck is for use of the main home only. The patio to the left of the home is for use of the apartment only. Please respect the privacy of both homes and keep the noise level down after 9pm. Pool is off limits. Other things to note We have a surveillance camera installed for the exterior of the house. There is a Window AC unit ONLY in the living room. Lake Placid is usually cool even during summer time with an average low of 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, especially at night. Leaving the windows open and using the ceiling fans have given ample breeze even during summer time. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood. Although we may have very few neighbors, we ask that you respect their privacy and keep noise to a minimum after office hours. We do not allow loud parties and events and strictly prohibit noise after 9pm. Our home is not a lake view home and we do not have direct access to a lake. The lake pictured in the listing are photos of Lake George itself which can be seen when walking through the village. Although we allow infants and children, our home is not childproof or child friendly. We also do not have bath tubs, we have showers in each bathroom. The Thermostat is only for heat. When leaving the apartment, please turn off the thermostat. In the winter, please leave it at 55 degrees. If trash bins are full, please place a new trash bag. They are located under all sinks. Please unplug all kitchen appliances when not in use - toaster, range and oven, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. When using the bonfire, please put out the fire after 9pm using water. We have provided wood for you inside the deck patio. Patio - When no longer in use, please place the cover over the entire patio furniture. If rain is in the forecast, please make sure to place the cover on and always place the cover on prior to leaving the deck space. The garbage bins are located outside the garage, please throw trash and recycling accordingly. Please place all garbage inside the garbage bin located in the garage labeled "Casella". Separate garbage according to trash and recycling.
