The space After a long hike or trail ride on your horses, relax on the pine and aspen tree lined flagstone patio with a gently flowing waterfall into a built-in pond. There is also a family size barbecue on the patio. Our guests have said that the photos do not do the house or property justice. The unique amenities they enjoy are the solitude, clean mountain air, and clear starry nights. We know you'll enjoy those aspects too. The property is truly one-of-a-kind and owner managed so our guests can have the best possible experience. A 19 stall horse barn and turnouts are available for your exclusive use, so bring your horses! Things To Do Skate Park There’s a skate/bike park in Frazier Park, about 12 miles away. The address is: 3801 Park Dr, Frazier Park, CA 93225 The skate park is constructed of prefabricated ramps. There is also a shaded viewing area with bleachers. It is adjacent to the city park which has basketball courts and a playground. Look to your left after stopping at the red blinking light on Frazier Mtn Park Rd. Seasonal waterfall and non-strenuous (mostly flat) local hike or bike ride (< 400 ft elevation gain) Return to Boy Scout Camp Road and turn left. To shorten your hike by one mile in each direction, you can drive to the Camp Three Falls gate (where Boy Scout Camp Road dead ends) and park outside the Boy Scout Camp Three Falls property. Follow the access road on foot until you reach another gate. Follow this road to the waterfall, bearing left about one mile into the hike from the gate. If you continue straight/bear right at this junction, the trail leads to Mt Pinos ( 9.4 miles 3,900 elevation gain). Buena Vista Lake is 60 miles away and offers boating and fishing. Wildlife There is an abundance of wildlife on the property. For the most part they are very wary of people, however to keep the "friendlier" wildlife wild and keep them from becoming a nuisance, please do not attempt to pet or feed them. A five foot chain link fence encloses 8 acres of the property. Please be mindful of wildlife if allow your pets off-leash. Animals you are quite likely to see: Cottontails rabbits and jack rabbits Squirrels Frogs Crows Lizards Bluejays Quail Doves Bats - hibernate in winter Swallows - spring and summer Animals you may see occasionally: Bobcats Deer Horny toads/horned lizards - out in the fields Coyotes Chipmunks Owls Woodpeckers Animals you will rarely see or be very lucky to see California Condors - huge and black, will have a large colored tag on a each wing. Mountain Lions - Have not seen or heard one in many years. Black Bears - They hibernate in the winter. Snakes - not often sighted, but be aware of where you are walking. They hibernate in the winter. Open flames and campfires are prohibited due to fire regulations. There is an outdoor propane BBQ available for cooking and a propane "fire pit" available for your enjoyment. Guest access Guests may walk and hike anywhere on the property. Beware of our private runway as you will not hear airplanes approaching to land. A map showing our trails is provided in the welcome binder. We ask however that guests do not climb on the tractor or the carriages as most are 100+ years old. The caretaker home porch (not occupied) and round pen viewing stairs are also blocked. Other things to note Well behaved animals are always welcome, both canine and feline. We just ask that they stay off the furniture and beds. For guests bringing horses, the cost is $60 per horse per stay. NO SMOKING IN THE HOUSE OR ON THE PROPERTY! Serious FIRE HAZARD! The only place allowed for smoking is in your own car. Our power is supplied by Southern California Edison (SCE) and outages may occur due to high winds or infrastructure upgrades when deemed necessary by SCE for safety reasons. Unfortunately we have no control over these outages and we apologize for any inconvenience they may cause.
