The neighborhood is safe for kids, with no traffic, making it ideal for families. Just a 5-minute walk from town. You can also easily access the beach and pools with a short bike ride. We're usually fully booked for long stays, so be sure to reach out early. Enjoy weekly housekeeping, allowing you to focus on making the most of your family holiday together. The space The property was built in 1925 and features original oak wood floors throughout, along with architectural period features such as ceiling moldings, woodwork, hardware, and fireplaces typical of New England Colonial architecture. The interior design is eclectic, blending different styles from antique to contemporary. The house is comfortable and cozy. The collection of period furniture includes a Venetian mirror, Jewish Moroccan armoire, and a 19th-century English Edwardian decoupage screen, along with a wooden table to seat 10 on bentwood chairs from the famous Thomas furniture designer in the formal dining room. In the kitchen, you will enjoy Pennsylvania painted plank bottom chairs and a solid cedar antique table. The formal living room is comfy with a large sofa, six living room armchairs, and a bench in front of the fireplace. It is decorated with a cozy Beni Ourain Moroccan rug and a set of antique modernist driftwood coffee and side tables with glass tops. The artwork is a fusion of contemporary and period, including highlights such as an antique still life hunting scene from Spain, an 18th-century French portrait, Picasso and Matisse lithographs, two pieces of wall art, and a table sculpture original all from the Kinetic art movement. The living room bookshelf is complemented by a pair of original wall art pieces from the Brutalist period, and finally, an oil painting by Trompiz hangs in the bookshelf. There is a swinging door into the country kitchen. The kitchen seats six, but if needed, you can add a bench to the other side of the table to accommodate 10. The kitchen is fully equipped. The TV room has wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling original solid wood paneling. The sunroom is filled with white wicker furniture and has sliding glass doors on two sides. The office is off the kitchen, featuring a small roll-top desk and a window overlooking the side of the property. On the second floor, the master bedroom has a king-sized bed, two antique Austrian side tables, and a Syrian antique piece as the bed headboard. Additionally, there is a 19th-century Mexican wardrobe. The child's room has a single trundle bed, fun Star Wars decorations, and two windows. The second bedroom can be configured with two single beds or one king-sized bed. The upstairs 'playroom' or forth bedroom includes a king-sized Tempur-Pedic sofa bed, as well as exercise equipment (a Peloton—you'd need to bring your own shoes—some weights, exercise bands, a yoga mat, and a roller). There are two full baths upstairs and one full bath downstairs. You will have the pleasure of ample landscaping and grounds, offering a picturesque setting for relaxation and recreation at the house. Guest access The entire house and yard. The garage and the trampoline are not for guest use. Other things to note A weekly cleaning service is included, which involves changing beds, dusting, cleaning floors, the kitchen, and bathrooms, as well as vacuuming rugs. The service does not include deep cleaning (such as oven or microwave cleaning) or tasks like washing dishes, laundry, tidying up the house, or putting away clothes or towels, nor does it include trash removal. This service is available only for rentals during the summer for more than 13 days. We will assist you in acquiring a Rye Beach and Parking pass, which is available only to local residents, depending on availability (only available for 28 days rentals). These passes are paid for directly by the guest to the town at a cost of $300. The house does not have direct access to the beach, but you can bike or take a short car drive to reach it. We accept a pets on monthly rentals and we charge an extra $150 per night.
