Did you know that California City is the third largest city in California, just behind LA and San Diego? Its 203,531 sq mi make lots of space for desert fun, from off-road motorbiking, lake fishing to Desert Tortoises watching! Our house offers a quiet retreat from the heat, to rest... or work. We kept things simple, but comfortable. One of our four bedrooms is designed to easily turn into an office... or game room for the kids! A large garage will keep your toys safe. Stay a while! The space The house welcomes you into its central, open leaving room. The dining table extends to seat up to 8 guests. The kitchen is equipped with side-by-side fridge, double-sink and dish-washer. The master bedroom is on the East wing of the house, with its private bathroom and walk-in closet. All three other bedrooms are on the West wing. We have turned one of them into a "zoom room", for those of you who are taking their work on the road!! With a clean-cut background, appropriate window coverings, and good lighting on the laptop desk, you will avoid annoying contre-jour issues and look sharp on screen! All bedrooms have hardwood flooring, and thermal curtains to shield you from the desert extreme temperatures and protect your sleep from our bright morning light! For optimum comfort, each bedroom has its own quiet heating and cooling unit, with remote control. The rest of the house is tiled. From the living room, you can step out in a fully fenced backyard, where you'll find a variety of mature fruit trees, and a sturdy set of benches and table with a large umbrella. And, of course, a BBQ (propane)! For the eco-conscious travelers, you'll be glad to know our house runs on solar! A battery system provides uninterrupted power in the case of blackouts (which sometimes happen in Cal City...). Come and stay for a few days, or longer... Guest access You have access to the whole space (excepted a small utility closet!!)
