Our townhome is one of sixteen units and in a very quiet area off of Highway 89, in the tiny town of Emigrant, offering a General Store, gas station, gift shop, bakery cafe-Th-S, BBQ-open Thurs-Mon) an outfitter during late spring, summer and fall.) The Old Saloon/Livery Stable-kitchen open Thursday-Monday, (check their concert schedule) all within walking distance all year. We are located three miles from a great old west resort called Chico Hot Springs Resort and Day Spa with a gourmet dinning, hot spring mineral pools for soaking and a saloon with live music on the weekends. We are 1.4 miles from the Sage Lodge with amazing views of Emigrant Peak! Our town home has three beds in the bedrooms, 1 Queen in master and 1 queen and 1 twin in 2nd bedroom. We have Queen/Full size Comfort Sleepers in the living room, 2 flat screen TVs with Dish TV and sign into Netflix using your login or as a guest. We have guide books, and my husband has written tour books from all of our MT trips. We try to have phone and/or email contact with all of our guests. We provide all details through email. We have a care taker, who lives in the next town home building, to help you with anything extra that you may need while staying as our guests. Please no shoes on carpeted areas. Our townhouse development, Avalon Villas, is very quiet and the views from our window and upper deck of Paradise Valley and Emigrant Peak, are breath taking! We are located 1/4 mile, from public access to the Yellowstone River, with world class fly fishing or rafting. You will need a car to get around in our area. We have parking in our gravel driveway for two cars and on the gravel road directly in front of our town home. *No campers/trailers. You can rent a car at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport- BZN or at BIL- Billings airport. The Yellowstone River flows through the entire Paradise Valley, flowing North between the Gallatin and Absaroka mountain ranges, from Yellowstone to Livingston. It is world renowned for its wildlife beauty and fishing! There are many other outdoor recreational activities including horseback riding, natural hot springs, fly fishing, white water rafting, hiking, camping, and sight seeing. Some of the movie “A River Runs Through It’ was filmed in Paradise Valley, and Livingston. Fly fishing in the area is world class and there are access points all along the Yellowstone River between Gardiner and Livingston. There are a number of fly shops and guides throughout the valley. We recommend Angler’s West in Emigrant, MT White Water Rafting on the Yellowstone is fun for your entire family. There are a number of outfitters in Gardiner, many of which can pair horseback riding trips. A few that I recommend are Yellowstone Raft Company, Wild West Rafting, and Flying Pig Adventures. There is a beautiful hike in Paradise Valley at Pine Creek Campground that is both a local and visitor favorite. A mile up the trail brings you to a stunning double waterfall where there are nice photo opportunities. Just up the road is a little restaurant, Pine Creek Café, where they have outdoor concerts and brunch with local acoustic music from 11a-1p on Saturdays and Sundays. Chico Hot Springs Resort and Day Spa is a fun option for soaking in natural hot spring pools, and they have a couple of options for dining -- a poolside grill, the saloon, and a fine dining option (reservations recommended). The Chico Saloon often has live music on weekends. There are a number of hikes in the valley that range from short and easy to longer and more strenuous. For the more adventurous, there is a route to the summit of Emigrant Peak, the most prominent peak in the valley with an elevation of 10,926’. There is an area called Jardine that is high up a road originating in Gardiner. Jardine is a beautiful area with numerous hiking options, including one to DaileyLake. Dailey Lake is another beautiful area, with a beach, just south of Emigrant, and east of US 89 off of The East River Road. Remember to take along the bear spray that we loan our guests! Speaking of wildlife, a popular spot to scope out grizzlies from your car is a beautiful drive out the Tom Miner Basin. The Tom Miner Basin can currently be accessed by Old Yellowstone Trail Road. There are several carved pullouts on US 89 that over look the river in the beautiful, rocky Yankee Jim Canyon. You may also want to check out the pools at Yellowstone Hot Springs in Corwin Springs along the Yellowstone River. We bought our townhome brand new in December of 2005 and opened for our first season in the summer of 2006. We pride ourselves on making updates to our furnishings, linens, beds and restocking our kitchen. We really wanted to own our own piece of paradise in MT!
