This house was renovated to its earlier 20th century glory with 2 full bathrooms, 2 bedrooms & 2 living spaces with 2 pull-out couches and a kitchen. It has a wrap around porch and porch swing. The cottage is 100 feet from the New River and 50 feet from the N&W railroad, with the train running close by. The space The cottage has spacious bedrooms with hardwood floors, original plaster walls & a kitchen island made from early 1900 2 foot wide boards. There is a stove with oven, a microwave and toaster, a refrigerator, cookware, plates, cups, glassware and silverware. All bedding and towels are provided. The house is in a country setting, 100 feet from the New River and 50 feet from the N & W Railroad. We have Smart TV hook up with a Netflix account just for the house, locally made soap and locally roasted coffee. The Palisades Restaurant is located next door. Guest access The wrap around porch has a table with seating for 4 and is lovely for sitting throughout the day and evening. There is a side deck and patio. Other things to note The Norfolk and Western railway is close to the cottage. While we consider the occasional passing train a rustic addition to our country setting, we do provide earplugs for guests who prefer not to hear the train.
