Please read the House Rules before booking. Looking for a quiet home with character? This Tudor style 1920s three bedroom house retains its original older home charm, offers everything a home needs and it is spacious and creatively painted, with hardwood floors throughout. Fully furnished and equipped, and decorated with artwork, rugs and antiques from our travels around the world. Close to everything, but tucked away Three bedrooms upstairs, two featuring queen size and one full size bed. Just upgraded with queen Avocado organic mattress in the front bedroom and new hybrid mattress in the other, as well as new AC split system. Cotton sheets and towels. Full bathroom with original vintage tub and tiles. Patio/balcony is accessible from the kitchen, with a table and chairs enjoyed by many for sunny breakfasts. The front sunroom/den is setup as an office. It has two desks, ergonomic office chairs, a number of plugs and a printer. One of the back bedrooms also has an antique desk, for more private work hours. We are not a sparcely furnished rental - this is a true home. Linens, tablecloths, dishes, kitchen supplies like spices, oil, coffee, teas, toiletries - all is available for our guests. This being a home and not a hotel, we don’t have 24 Hr staff; we are available to answer questions and help but guests should be be able to figure most things out independently. We are walking distance from the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus and Eastern Campus, and Union Memorial Hospital. Other universities, unique Hampden and its Hon Cafe are also nearby, and all Baltimore sights are a short ride away. The Baltimore Inner Harbor, the Aquarium and the Ravens Stadium are a 20 minutes drive from us, and it takes about 18 minutes to the Convention Center. There are easy bus connections nearby to all of these locations as well. This is a lived in older home, with all amenities and quirks that come with that, such as kitchen and dining equipment and supplies, books, etc. There also may be some personal items in the basement and maybe a few in the closet . There will be plenty of space for your belongings, but do not expect an empty vacation property like in commercial resorts. This is our home after all. Please read our House Rules before booking! Enjoy the house on your own, fully equipped, laundry in the basement, parking in the driveway. This is a true home. with linens, tablecloths, dishes, kitchen supplies like spices, oil, coffee, teas, toiletries - all is available for our guests. Two bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds, and one with a full size bed. Plenty of linens and towels available as well as kitchen amenities such as variety of spices and other cooking supplies. We are not into all of the greatest and latest, but offer: High speed DSL line and WIFI; Smart TV and a Roku device so you can access your Netflix or other streaming accounts. Washer/Dryer and storage space in the basement. Split ductless AC system with a unit in each room, and one extra AC in the den. The Living quarters Include: - Spacious dining room with table setting for 6 - Sofa, love seat and arm chair - Smart TV - Roku - Books and magazines The Kitchen Includes: - Fully Stocked Cabinets (dishes, pots, and pans, table cloths, napkins, and almost everything you need) - Gas range with oven, dishwasher and microwave - Toaster and toaster oven - Mini Coffee Station with drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, and small french press, plust coffee, tea and creamers - Oil, vinegar, spices, oatmeal, and various other kitchen basics The Bedrooms Feature: - Two Queen Sized Beds and one Full Size Bed - Full Length Mirror - Closets (empty for you, with hampers and maybe extra blankets or linens inside) Office: You have at your disposal the Den/Office with two desks, a number of plugs and a printer/scanner, plus some basic office suplies (stapler, scissors, etc.) I try to keep the printer working, but no guarantees, you are on your own with paper jams and such, and depending on timing you may or may not have to go pick up toner for yourself. Patio for pleasant hours outdoors. Plenty of free parking – private parking space in the back and street parking in the front. YMCA is right next door - has an Olympic size indoor swimming pool and all full fitness facilities. Community children's playground built and cared for by the neighborhood. This is a quiet residential neighborhood tucked behind what was the old Memorial Stadium, away from major street traffic. We welcome children of any age, but please note that the house is not specially set up for children - no covered electric outlets, no high chair, etc. Children will be counted in the total number of guests and charged accordingly - our maximum is 6 with any children included. Please note that property is only for the use by the registered guests of each booking. No visitors, no “people over” without explicit approval by the owner; For any unregistered visitors there will be an extra charge of $50 a day per person, including children Maintenance staff (gardener, exterminator) may be stopping by occasionally and doing work in the exterior of the house. You will receive advance notification is anyone needs to enter inside. Perfect for healthcare professionals and students as the home is less than 15 minutes away from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sinai, MedStar, GBMC and UMMC. LONG TERM STAYS WELCOME! If you need anything special, please ask - we may be able to make arrangements. You have total privacy and full access to the entire house, except for items stored in my basement. Closets are mostly empty, free of our personal stuff. This is my home and I hope that you’ll enjoy it and take care of it the way I do. Ednor Gardens is very quiet and green urban neighborhood and feels like a suburb, but it is a 10 min drive to get to the hustle and bustle of beautiful downtown Baltimore. It is a very tight neighborhood, and we look after each other. There’s one parking spot in the garage, one outdoor parking spot in driveway and plenty on the street. Very convenient public transportation, bus #53 stop right by the house and goes right to downtown; the other bus line (#22, Green line, Silver line) takes you to the railway station from where you have access to Washington D.C. (45min) and New York (2.5hr). From BWI it takes 15min-30min by car, or you can also use shuttle. It is best to rent a car since there are very interesting places around, with shopping areas, cinema and places of historic significance. Please agree to these rules before booking! If guest violates house rules s/he will be evicted and will not be entitled to a refund! We require a guest list and government issued photo ID for each adult guest as a security measure, to be submitted within 48hrs after booking. It can be submitted by messaging/email - please coordinate with the host. Message host when you’ve checked in so that we don’t wonder if everything is ok. Guests who book for longer than 2 weeks may be asked to sign a rental lease, to follow state tenant laws and requirements, for your and our protection. Guests who stay loger than 2 weeks are also required to allow for a bi-weekly cleaning at the addiotional rate of $150 per cleaning. We provide air-conditioning in the form of split AC units, very quiet and efficient. No central air. Please be conscious of your energy use, as electricity prices have gone up and we may have to pass the extra cost onto you. Do not set the temperature to less than 75 degrees and Turn Off each AC each time you leave the room. Price includes a reasonable amount of utilities use - please be energy conscious. Any excessive usage, at expense over $300 a month, or $80 a week, will be deducted from the security deposit. Washer and dryer use is accounted for at one load per couple of days; please submit payment of $10 for each load above that limit. We are committed to protecting our guests and ourselves during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are implementing extended cleaning procedures, disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces. To limit our cleaners' exposure, we kindly request that guests put all linens they have used in the washer/laundry before departure and that windows are left open to air out the place (unless there is a storm going on).
