We have spent years making this house a relaxing getaway for ourselves, and now we want to share it with you. We have loved every firefly-filled night and morning mountain sunrise. The house is conveniently located just 15 minutes west of downtown Asheville and is situated just below the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a spacious 2600 sq ft house with plenty of room for entertaining and relaxing both indoors and outdoors. The house has 3 luxury queen beds and 3 full baths all of which are perfect for unwinding after a busy day at the Biltmore, hiking the trails in Pisgah, or brewery and food sampling downtown. There's a full kitchen and a 700 sq ft deck with full mountain views as well as a fenced-in yard and fire pit. The downstairs entertainment area has a large 55" flat screen TV, poker/game/bumper pool table and a ping pong table. There are tons of board games and books (we're huge readers and game-lovers), and we also have a pack and play if you're traveling with your little one. There's also a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board for any laundry or ironing you might need to do while staying in Asheville. You'll have full access to all parts of the house during your stay as well as all parts of the backyard which has a fenced-in portion for kids or pets. Please do not park in the road or on the grass median between our house and the neighbor’s. We can interact as much or as little as you prefer, and we'll leave a full booklet with information on the house and ideas for things to do/places to see/where to eat while you're in Asheville. We live in a quaint neighborhood 15 minutes from downtown Asheville with a killer view of the mountains and great walkability. We love our neighbors so we just ask that you respect them as you're coming and going. We are within 3 miles of groceries and coffee and 10 minutes to the West Asheville neighborhood and Carrier Park by the French Broad River. We are also located just 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 10-15 minutes to the Bent Creek Forest area for incredible mountain biking, trail running or hiking experiences. From listening to the owls at night to hearing the bluebirds by day, we hope that The Birdhouse will allow you to get away from it all. We are outside of the city, so we usually use Uber or Lyft if we're going out for the night. We have a private driveway for parking as well as street parking for our guests. We have lived in Asheville for a long time and have lots of suggestions and recommendations for things to do, places to see and where to eat. We're always happy to help friends get around the city and make sure your stay in the city is a fun experience. ** Also, please note: Our max number of dogs allowed is 2 and must be under 50lbs. For stays up to 14 days, the fee is $50/dog. Anything above 2 weeks is an additional $25/dog for each additional week and will need to be paid separately from Airbnb. We do provide a medium size crate. All dogs must be crated while you're away from the home, otherwise you will have to take them with you for the time you're away from the home. There are also doggie daycares in the area if preferred.
