Contemporary Hideaway near Historic Harpers Ferry!

The Hideaway is located near the Potomac River in quaint Knoxville, MD. It is very close to Harpers Ferry, WV, Antietam National Battlefield, historic Sharpsburg, MD, the C&O canal and other local attractions. There are two levels to the home and the Hideaway is the lower level. The Hideaway is a fun, eclectic, comfy space that boasts a full kitchen and includes a full bath, kitchen table seating 4, island with seating, washer/dryer and sleeps 6. Pets are welcome, please see details below. The space The Hideaway offers a large open space for enjoyable social gatherings. The common area and bedrooms have oak hardwood flooring. An exterior grade level deck offers additional space for relaxing, entertaining, grilling and enjoying the outdoors. The living area includes a convertible sofa that sleeps 2 comfortably on a new Ikea sleeper sofa. Both bedrooms have new queen memory foam platform beds. All the furnishings and linens are new! A charcoal grill has been provided on the deck, but you will need to bring charcoal and a lighter. Other things to note Because there is another unit on the 2nd floor of the house (The Chalet), we ask guests to refrain from excessive noise after 11 pm. We offer special discounts for renting both levels of the house, check with me for details. Pets under about 50 lbs are welcomed at an additional fee of $40 per pet, per stay, but must be crated when unattended. I can make exceptions to the fee structure for small dogs or multiple pets. The sofa in the great room easily converts to a bed. Bed linens for the convertible are provided. In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 71 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees. If you are booking on behalf of a Travel Business, Airbnb staff has advised us to collect photo IDs of guests that will actually be at the property (if those guests do not already have a valid Airbnb account).
