Perfect for Traveling Nurse, Business stays, Family vaca, or romantic get-away. Maybe you just need a place to unwind and Refresh! This is a Waterfront studio apartment w/ kitchenette, 48" HDTV, Qn bed + twin bed, Free WiFi. Free off-street parking (smaller or med-size cars fit best). Stroll our private sandy beach see Orcas, Seals, Otter, Eagles catching salmon all right outside your door! Enjoy nightly beach fires, amazing sunsets. Relax! (Sorry- no pets!) The space The location is unique in that we are actuallly ON the beach...not on a cliff overlooking the water, and we have no road between the Apartment and the water! We are also only 12 minutes from the airport, but we have no airplane noise. Perfect for the business traveler, or vacationer who doesn't want to spend the whole first day getting to the beach. Yet we are also only 15 minutes from downtown Seattle! You have one free designated off-street parking spot behind our garage. The parking spot is fairly narrow, so a small or medium size car fits best. From parking you'll walk 235' down the flat driveway to our gate with the Ship's Wheel. This means you have complete privacy from road noise. (Be aware that there are 3 sets of steps leading from our gate down to the Apartment.) An authentic Native American Trail runs behind the homes on our beach. It is popular to walk the mile-long Trail through the woods behind the beach homes, then return on our sandy beach. You'll see all kinds of wildlife from your patio... Orca whales, Sea Otter, Seals, and watch the eagles that live above our home swoop down and catch a salmon right in front of you! We have a sandy beach, which is unusual for the Seattle area. Our beach is a good place to find agates, shells, and beach glass. The Beach Apartment includes antiques and cute beach decor with everything you'll need for enjoying your time away. (3TreePt Store is closed for renovations until approx. 12/2025!) As an added bonus, the original 3 Tree Pt store is only about 150 ft from the end of our driveway, so you can walk to get your morning coffee and pastry or a yummy breakfast sandwich. Besides some groceries, they also have wine, beer on tap and lots of other freshly made foods. The Apartment is only 15 minutes from Seattle, but you'll feel a world away! Guest access The swing on our beach is a great place to spend a lazy day swinging, reading a good book, watching our amazing sunsets... or just daydreaming. The covered paved patio has a bistro table and chairs, perfect for having morning coffee and pastry outside, and a larger table with 4 chairs when you want to have meals outside while watching for our resident seal, otter, or occassional whales. Because the outside patio has a partially covered deck, you can enjoy being outside even when its rainy, watching for wildlife or just enjoying the beautiful patterns that breezes create on the water. The apartment is the lower level of our home with your own private access. The home was one of the original Three Tree Point summer homes built in 1920 for Seattle's wealthy settlers. The apartment was completely updated a couple of years ago. You'll find it to be very cozy and private. (Across the paved patio you will see a blue entry door to our Boathouse. Back in the early 1920s it was a fish cleaning shack with a place to store boats underneath. Because I have 8 siblings, I wanted a place for them to stay, so many years ago we turned it in to a tiny spot for them. My siblings have busy lives and rarely visit anymore, so we rent full-time to local business people who need a place. You might see our current renter walk across the paved patio to her door, but she has her own large deck so there are no shared spaces and you probably won't see her. I'm just letting you know so if you do happen to see a lady walk past... it's OK :-) We do have 2 kayaks for your use. The orange one located against the upper bulkhead, is a sea kayak so is faster but tippier. The newer blue kayak is located under the boathouse (access from the water side). It is wider and less tippy. Wearing life jackets (located behind the bistro table) is required. Oars are located at the side of the house behind the bistro table. Be sure to bring kayaks, oars, and life vests all the way up onto the cement bulkhead. Do not leave anything on the beach for the tides to take. Other things to note Our little area is called "Three Tree Point." Because we are only 12 minutes to Seatac Airport, you won't have to spend hours on the road or ferries to get here.... and you won't have to wake up super early to drive to the airport when you leave. Yet we don't have airplane noise because we stick way out into Puget Sound, avoiding the runway noise. If you choose to drive, we are only minutes away from the entry points for all the major highways. Should you choose not to rent a car, Rideshares such as Uber come right to our door. Bus service does not come down the hill to Three Tree Point, but you can take a taxi or Rideshare to either the bus station 2 miles up the hill in Burien, or to the train station which is close to SeaTac Airport.
