Day trip to the Appalachian Trail, Baxter State park and Mt. Katahdin or the Moosehead Lake Region. Nearby Bangor offers international airport, shopping, dining and a casino. The space Queen sized bedroom, daybed in common area and loft with two twin beds. Peaceful, quiet and safe retreat in the Maine woods with all the comforts of home. Four mile trip to town for food, pharmacy, pizza, ice cream and fishing supplies. True log cabin inside and out with private porch and picnic tables. Kitchen equipped with dinnerware, coffee maker, microwave oven and electric skillet. Charcoal grill outside steps from your porch. Guest access You are encouraged to hike our trails that loop around the cabins, enjoy the pond and the ducks, beavers and otters that splash around in addition to the firepit and all open areas. Other things to note We are so far off the main road that you won't hear any traffic noise, just the sounds of nature or your own laughter. Less than an hour away from us are Peaks Keney State Park, (14 miles) Sebec Lake and beach, Moosehead Lake, and Baxter State Park just a bit further.
