Charming Peaks Island Cottage

Whimsical 1910 cottage in a perfect location just a short walk from the ferry or to Sandy Beach, yet far enough away to escape the noise at the height of summer. Pets considered with additional fee (maximum 2 animals). Licence number: STHR-007403-2025. The space Standalone classic cottage with large front yard and front and back decks. The cottage is located on one level; there are stairs leading up to the deck and front door, while the back entrance is level with the garden. The living and dining area occupies the center of the cottage, with wraparound windows on the front, skylights to let in the sun, a bedroom off to each side, and the kitchen and pantry in the back. The kitchen is small but well-furnished for cooking summer meals. The master bedroom contains a queen-sized bed; a second smaller bedroom has a full-sized bed, as well as a skylight for views of the night stars. Bedding provided. A small bathroom has a shower stall (no tub), with towels and basic toiletries available. A cozy reading room off of the kitchen has a desk for designated workspace, or a place to relax with a book. Outdoors is a large front yard with a wide front deck shaded by a beautiful birch tree. A second deck in the back is surrounded by an attractive garden with chairs for enjoying coffee or a glass of wine. This vintage space is perfect for a couple, friends, or for a solo traveler wanting a happy, quiet, summer retreat. The cottage is located at the start of a dead-end street so traffic is minimal, and the end of the street backs up to a wooded area with hiking trails maintained by the Peaks Island Land Preserve. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome with an additional fee of $10/night. All dog waste must be picked up, bagged, and properly disposed of upon check-out. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage. A small garden shed is used for storage and is off limits. Other things to note There is no AC; fans are provided. There is no TV but wifi is available for streaming on personal devices.
