A Pet friendly, Zen inspired retreat on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River in Bastrop Tx. Lose yourself on our shady grounds with 8 different patios. You’ll love our zen-hammocks! You’ll find it hard to believe you’re only 2 miles from downtown Bastrop. Enjoy on site river access where kayaking, tubing, fishing & swimming are popular! The space Harmony is a cozy relaxing open space A-Frame detached garage apartment. The upstairs space is 400 square feet main area, and a 100 square foot open loft, which is just large enough to sleep two people in separate twin beds. The loft is a favorite with kids, but many adults have slept there as well. The maximum headroom in the center of the loft is about 5 ft. Enjoy drinks on your balcony, which overlooks the grounds and garden dome. We've been told by many of our guest, this is the Kewlest, well thought out small spaces they have ever booked. 1 Queen bed lower level, 2 twin beds in the open loft. A kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge. There's even a large propane griddle in the shade on the upper patio just outside your door! Smart TV allows you to access the popular streaming apps Our High Speed Wi-Fi extends over most of the property for you modern convenience types! It's a beautiful relaxing and unique setting where you can truly forget about the world. The river here is on a gravel bar and varies from shallow swifter water, great for tubing, to calm waist deep water perfect for swimming. Please Note: While HarmonyHouse is private, grounds may be shared from time to time with guests from our sister property The RiverHouse, which is the main house located on the same grounds. However, the grounds are large with ample patios and spaces for all. We love having well behaved pets explore the grounds with their families. We do have a $75.00 per pet per stay fee that helps keep us pet friendly. The maximum number of pets for this property is 3. Please inform us of the number of pets joining you during your stay when making your reservation. Airbnb does not collect this fee. We can send a request for funds for the additional pets or you can leave it on the counter before you leave. (Please see house rules for pets) Whether a romantic getaway or family outing, we are sure that Harmony House will delight the nature lover & rejuvenate your soul! Our greatest joy is having happy guest, please look over the photos and read the description and house rules in their entirety before you book. Most come here for the meditative grounds and river setting. If you are looking for a huge sprawling home to lock yourself in for days on end, this may not be the place for you. Our sister properties, The RiverHouse or RiversEdge are better suited for you huge sprawling spaces types. Please keep in mind that this is a nature Sanctuary in a rural setting on a river and not the sterile 20th floor of a high-rise building. You may see a harmless dirt dauber flying in the house as they are plentiful here and sneak in when the doors open. Outside you may find spider webs, wasp, lizards, and a variety of animals and creatures. You may even have to wipe down outdoor furniture which may have dust, or spider webs on them. We try our best to keep them wiped down but we are old, you are in nature, it changes daily, just wipe it off with one of our pet towels and enjoy the place for what it is. If you are the type to complain about such nonsense, this is probably not the property for you. Note: The Dome is a greenhouse and as such it can get toasty in there. Mornings or late nights are best times if wanting to set inside the dome. Likewise the dome is no place to plan any type of gala, brunch or celebration. The dome has seasons and plant life may differ from the photos. While a 2-night stay is possible, the vast majority of our guest’s have told us they wished they had booked an additional night. If a 3-night stay is possible we recommend booking at least 3 days as it is seldom possible to add a night at the last minute. Discounted stays begin at 3 nights! Guest access Guest have access to Harmony House, the tropical dome and the features located on the grounds... river access, hammocks, 8 patios, seating areas and chairs. As mentioned, while the house is private, grounds may be shared from time to time with guests from our sister property The RiverHouse, located on the same grounds. However, the grounds are large with ample patios and spaces for all. Other things to note The occupancy listed is the max occupancy this property can accommodate. If you intend to host any event, celebration or other function, you will need to disclose this to us in advance and obtain approval, including an agreement to all additional fees and terms. We ask that you read all House Rules & Policies including the additional House Rules section prior to booking. Upon booking, you are stating that you understand them and agree to follow and abide by them. We strongly advise trip insurance to cover your booking and will provide any documentation you may need to facilitate your claim. Our cancelation policy will be adhered to at all times during your reservation. We do not refund reservations outside of our cancelation policy. Unlike hotels who typically overbook reservations, we do not have that option. We have blocked off the property from all advertising once you booked it and typically have a hard time re-booking on short notice. If you do cancel outside of our policy, we will do our best to rebook the property and will send you any funds we collect to offset your losses less a 20% Rebooking Fee. These funds may be less than you originally paid. Your driveway parking is limited to 2 cars. Austin is about a 35-minute drive. Bastrop State Park is 4 miles Buescher State Park is about 7 miles We cannot wait to share our sanctuary with you! Our two State Parks, with their incredible trails and wildlife are just a few miles away. Also the Colorado River Refuge trail head is located within walking distance from Harmony House... Nature at its finest.
