Work from home and stay connected with high speed internet. The cleaning charge is high due to the size of the house - 5000 sq ft.. This is for routine cleaning and Covid sterile cleaning. The space Spacious and beautiful, nestled in the forest, this three-story house is perfect for family/friend getaways and group retreats. Grocery stores, delis, coffee shops, and various restaurants are only 5 minutes away. Hiking and biking trails, kayaking, the ocean & the bay are within 15 minutes. Located one mile from both Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness, you’ll be within easy reach of everything the Bay Area has to offer. Walk the nearby beaches and trails, enjoy the many great restaurants, or maybe find where Sir Francis Drake hid some of his treasure. About 120 yards of stone were handpicked from the quarry at Sears Point for stone walls and for the lower level of the house. We’ve added art from our friends over the years. You are welcome to visit the chickens in their coop or when they're out roaming. The back yard and gardens are yours to enjoy. Apple, pear, plum, pearapple, cherry, and persimmon trees throughout the property, fruit through the summer. Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds can be seen in the backyard and from the kitchen window as they dart about the Chinese Lantern flowers. Ospreys can be seen from the kitchen, the deck, and the master bedroom. It is a treat to hear their cries as they circle on the thermals gaining altitude to then glide off to catch a meal. When they return, sometimes they are harassed by crows or vultures or both as these thieves try to rob the ospreys of their catch. We have seen battles between the osprey pairs and groups of vultures. Other things to note While we love animals, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets or service animals because my wife is allergic . The base price covers the first 4 guests. Each additional guest is $72/night/guest. Long term stays may also be accommodated. Please contact us for pricing. CLEANLINESS Since COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions. We follow CDC guidelines and thoroughly ‘clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, after every reservation, in household common areas (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks).’ We extend this to countertops, cabinet & drawer knobs, railings, window sills, floors, and all bathroom surfaces. We wash and dry all towels, sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and blankets on high heat. Disposable gloves and masks are used for all cleaning. The cleaning charge is high because we require a cleaning crew due to the size of the house - 5000 sq ft.. This is for routine cleaning and Covid sterile cleaning. If there is extra cleaning required as a result of spilled food and drink on furniture and walls and floors and carpets and or an exceptionally dirty kitchen – food spilled and baked on to the stove, spills covering refrigerator shelves and storage, dirty dishes mixed with clean, etc. there will be a charge to cover the extra cleaning time and inconvenience.
