Welcome to this 2BR private guest suite in West Vancouver - perfect for families and/or groups of friends looking for large space in any season! We live upstairs and suite has a private entrance, 100% your own space - we give you your privacy. Location is close to core of West Vancouver, beaches, transit, hiking, skiing, downtown Vancouver, Whistler & everything else the beautiful area has to offer! This spacious 2 Bedroom /1 Bathroom guest suite is located in West Vancouver, a short drive away (15 mins in no traffic) from downtown Vancouver, the best of the North shore and close to ferry terminal, beaches, and snow hills. There are 2 bedrooms, as well as a sofa bed in the living space. Additional rollaway bed & floor mattress available on request as well as Pac n' Play. Please request ahead! A car is HIGHLY suggested to fully enjoy all the area has to offer! We are 1 minute from the bus stop, but car is best way to travel the area and highly encouraged. Most comfortable for groups of 4-6 guests. 5+ will be a bit tight so please do read the listing and ask questions if you are a bigger group! There is 1 bathroom with shower/bathtub. Hosts live upstairs but give complete privacy and you have your own private entrance. Backyard and pool are shared but we give privacy to guests when they are there! ☆Breakdown of Rooms & Sleeping Arrangements☆ Room 1: King Bed (2 guests) + space for twin rollaway or floor mattress on request* (1 guest) Room 2: Queen bed (2 guests) Living room: Sofa Bed (2 guests) * Please request the twin rollaway bed ahead of your check in if you will need it! It is most comfortable in the king bedroom, but can also be sent up in the living space! * ☆Highlights☆ - Private entrance + Parking for 2 cars in driveway & Private guest BBQ in summer - High-speed internet - TVs in bedroom (no TV in living room) - Private washer & dryer - Fully stocked kitchen with much more than the basics (waffle maker anyone!). All cooking & kitchen essentials - toaster, pots, pans, olive oil, butter, spices coffee, tea, milk, sugar, and more - Heated bathroom floors, board games, books and more. - 99% 5-star stays and counting! ☆☆☆ PLEASE NOTE ☆☆☆ **October - April Guests:** - At this time the pool is very cold! It is open for guests to use but will be very cold as its not heated! - **We offer the hot tub at a fee of $30 per night to offset our own costs from October - April ** The rates for fall/winter reflect this!! Exception for hot tub: Christmas & New Years, complimentary hot tub heating for the holiday season! - During this time patio furniture is put away under cover to prevent from snow / rain damage (which is frequent during this time!). We set up a separate covered seating outside the suite during these months to enjoy morning coffee outside the suite if desired. Guests are welcome to bring patio seating to the patios however, we ask to bring to cover if it rains. ** May - September Guests:** - Hot tub heating is complimentary - Pool is not heated and stays warm by the sun :) - Backyard patio furniture is set up at all times except on rainy day where we store in the pool shed temporarily for guests to use. It can still a bit cold for the pool/backyard in May, depending on Vancouver weather. However, the space and pool are always open for guests to use! ☆Important Space Details☆ -The space is majority windows and gets a lot of natural light (and nice view of the pool!). Bedrooms have black out blinds. - Pool is not separately gated so for guests with younger kids we require an adult to be outside with them at all times. - Although I live upstairs, the floor is insulated so you will very minimally hear any foot traffic. We give full privacy. - Travel time to downtown Vancouver: before 9am (10 mins), 9am- 3:30pm (15-25 mins), 3:30pm -6:30pm (25/45 mins, heavy traffic), 7:30pm onwards (10/15 mins) - December to March bookings: Vancouver can snow at this time - anywhere from 1 inch to up to 5-10 inches we’ve seen! During this time we require guests to have 4 wheel drive vehicles for their safety and strongly recommend winter tires. If doing a day trip to Whistler please note Whistler requires snow tires from October to May Guest access Please note this is a suite and I live upstairs. The suite itself is all yours. The backyard and all the amenities (including BBQ, fire pits (in the spring / summer) are of course yours to use as well, but shared space with us, your hosts. That being said we believe in giving you your privacy so you’ll feel like you’re the only ones there. During the winter guests are welcome to use our bbq on the second floor patio. During spring / summer guests have their own outdoor bbq. The suite has its own air circulation as well for ultimate sanitization. Other things to note ** Very important to note: We have a dog who has joined our family, a Portuguese Water. She is hypoallergenic and possibly the most loved member of our family! Although she is very well behaved, you may hear her bark time to time while playing. This has never been an issue the 5 years Nova has been part of our family but we want to make guests aware! She will not and has never been in the suite! You will very likely see her outside during your stay and she does use the pool for training on occasion (she competes in water sports) so if you are afraid of dogs or think this will make you uncomfortable this will not be the spot for you. She is a little shy when meeting new people but warms up to be your best friend very quickly :). Please send us any questions you may have :). ** -- - This is not a party pad! No parties or events, please. We are in a residential neighborhood & don't want to disturb our neighbors. We will decline any party requests, sorry!! - Backyard is shared space with your hosts! - In the summer months we hire some awesome companies to help us maintain the property. On occasion you may see them on the property tending to the grass and the pool. It will not impact your trip we just like to let guests know! - Local guests, please make sure you review house rules and let us know the reason of your visit. - No AC but each space has a fan and the space itself is cool with the trees surrounding the property. All the French doors open to allow for air flow as well. We do have heating & bathroom floor heating as well. - Absolutely no underage partying or drinking permitted, please don't ask, the answer will be no! - Hot tub heating is complimentary in the summer. We let the sun heat the pool (not a heated pool). $30 per day for hot tub heating in the off season (October - April) to offset costs (about $60-80 per day to heat). - As we live surrounded by trees on occasion you may see some animals on the property during your stay - anything from birds, squirrels and other wood animals.
