The home features a large living and dining room filled with natural light, warm wood, comfortable and tasteful antique furniture. Musicians will be delighted by the 1890's piano and beautiful cello in the living room. An open floor plan extends from the living room into the dining room. The dining room has a comfortable red leather sitting bench, period chandelier and gorgeous table (seats 6) for the optimal dining room setting. The built-in hutch houses several decorative ceramic serving platters, a variety of wine glasses, wine decanter, martini glasses and a china tea set. The home is warm, ideal for two people, comfortable with four, and a perfect setting to have that special occasion. Bedrooms There are two bedrooms with a walk through bathroom. The master bedroom has an oak sleigh bed with a comfortable queen-size 11-inch memory foam mattress, soft linens and bathrobes. The guest room has a mahogany sleigh bed with a pillowtop mattress, soft linens, down comforter and bathrobes. Recently added is a 32” TV with Acorn and Netflix accounts. Both bedrooms have a TV, closet and dresser. Kitchen If you love to cook, this kitchen is perfect for you! The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to support the preparation of a gourmet meal. Kitchen amenities include; gas range and oven, microwave, 10-piece set of Cuisinart cookware, bakeware, 18-lb. roasting pan, slow-cooker, blender, toaster, French press, traditional coffee maker, drip cones, and essentials like olive oil, coffee beans and spices. Guests also have access to the large BBQ located off the kitchen in the lovely back garden. The Setting Enjoy your gourmet meal on the front porch, a beautiful setting framed by trees and flowers. The "dining room" on the front porch provides the perfect spot for morning or evening dining. Creating beautiful interior and exterior spaces is a passion of mine, and the gardens that surround this home delight the senses. Garden beds are planted with fruits, vegetables and herbs, and guests are encouraged to harvest from the garden. The house is located behind a tall fence with mature trees and vegetation, creating an oasis and a sense of privacy from an active neighborhood. Guests have full access to the house and the many garden nooks around the home. The backyard garden space, and BBQ, are shared with the Cottage guest when the Cottage is occupied. Information for accessing the Craftsman is provided to guests via email one week prior to arrival. Check in is 3-9pm. Check out is 11am. The house is set back from an eclectic urban neighborhood and the space can be surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of this active area of Eugene. At times, you may hear music and or neighborhood festivities. When you are ready to explore the historic Whiteaker neighborhood, there are many appealing options for hearing live music, dining, and sampling craft beers and wines within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe, but a touch more exhilarating than typical surburbia. The housekeeper for properties is severely allergic to cats and dogs. No exceptions to the pet policy, even for service animals as her health is at risk! The property includes a separate rental cottage located in the spacious back yard, and there is privacy (of noise and space) between the Craftsman and Cottage. Together, the house and cottage are comfortable for up to 6 people, and both are available for rent if you are looking to host your family or friends for a special event or holiday. Laundry facilities off the main house may be accessed by the housekeeper on occasion (11-3pm). We ask that you remove shoes upon entry to the Craftsman. No shoes are worn in home in an effort to preserve the original wood floors treated for their last time. We thank you for honoring this request.
