Renovated and located in an older part of town in a blind alley, as it is a "mill" shotgun style home used during the Powder Works era. Listen to the daily whistling sound of the nearby train. Our home is casually elegant and comfortable. It's not a high-class condo, but if you appreciate a home with history, this is the place for you. Exceptional retreat close to downtown with superb access to the city and the nearby canal. The space A modern shotgun house situated in a blind alley next to the peaceful sound of water from the Canal. It is adjacent to the century-old Sibley Mill, where you can hear the reassuring sound of the train passing through each evening. The house has a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of old Appalachian shotgun row homes. Our home offers a casual elegance and comfort, making it an exceptional retreat close to downtown with superb access to the city. Being in close proximity to Lake Olmstead and Augusta Canal, you can enjoy the tranquility of nature. You're welcome to bring your fishing pole and walk to the canal or dock your kayak on the side and explore the natural trail just a two-minute walk over the bridge. Please note the convenience and easy access to the city, which outweighs any concerns about the location. We kindly ask you to read the rules and note the location description before booking, as we are unable to move the house or offer reimbursements. We warmly welcome incoming Military, Traveling Nurses, Plant Vogtle, Amazon plant, SRS personnel, and corporate leases. The downtown area is undergoing development and is very convenient to downtown. The neighborhood is being gentrified, and we have a diverse population; if you appreciate diversity, this house is the perfect choice for you. ***Pet friendly property with $100 non refundable fee (limit 2/certain breeds) and 20 lbs. weight limit. Guest access All living areas are accessible to guests. People who are not on the reservation are not allowed, it is a violation and subject to cancellation of your reservation. Self check-in with a personalized code. Additional guests on the property are required to be registered, and after midnight, extra guest fees apply. $35 early check-in fee, IF the home is available. $35 late check-out fee until 1 pm, IF the home is available. We will consider hosting local residents on a case-by-case basis. Last-minute bookings from guests with no prior Airbnb history/reviews are not accepted. The fireplace is not operational for use. Government ID is required for every registered guest over the age of 17 prior to check-in. Guest booking requires to be 21 years of age or older. Trash day is Thursdays, please DO NOT park on the street, only on the side driveway. Pricing note: We set a base price for 2 people, allowing couples like yourselves to rent the home, and we increase the rate as additional people are added to a reservation to cover the cost of additional utilities used and housekeeping required for more bed linens and towels. Maximum allowed guests are 3, additional guests pay additional fees are $15 per person per day Other things to note Maximun allowed guests are 3, additional guests pay additional fees are $25 per person per day. A non-refundable pet Cleaning Fee of $100 for the first pet and $75 for the second (limit of 2) is required. Pets are limited to certain breeds and must weigh 20 lbs or under. Please clean up after your pets. Please be considerate of my neighbors when coming and going, and interact with them at your own discretion. Do NOT use the white linens or sheets to remove makeup. No smoking and no vaping inside the home. Please smoke at least 25 ft away from doors. Outside cameras are installed for the safety of both guests and hosts. Surveillance and the cameras are positioned toward the front entryway door and parking space for your safety and the protection of our property. Unauthorized guests are not allowed, and additional fees will apply for any unregistered guests. Please use the bench when unpacking your luggage to avoid damage to the bed. Early check-in is available with an applicable fee if the home is available. Late check-out is available with an applicable fee. Do not block the camera; doing so may result in immediate cancellation. We will consider hosting local residents on a case-by-case basis. Identification is required to be sent to the host before generating the access code. Last-minute bookings from guests with no prior Airbnb history/reviews are accepted on a case-by-case basis with ID verification. The camera is located on the front porch, facing the porch and the street. Moving or adjusting the camera will result in a fee of $250 to cover the cost of correction. Disconnecting or disabling the camera will result in the cancellation of the booking. Trash day is Thursdays, please park in the driveway. DO NOT park on the street. We're in the South and by the water and you will find Water Bugs. Even though we spray for pests monthly, there is a possibility you might see bugs on occasion. The house is located near a canal, and living in the south means ants are common. While I cannot control the bugs, I do not offer refunds if you find them. However, I will arrange for pest control during your stay upon request and will send my cleaning team to handle any issues. We have a pest control company visit every season and also spray when the house has no guests.
