Jackson Star is a warm and inviting modern home in the heart of downtown Eugene walking distance to the University of Oregon, best restaurants, and the craft brewing district of the Whiteaker neighborhood. The Star is the perfect home for friends and families to enjoy quality time together!! The space Located in the heart of downtown, Jackson Star is a spacious light-filled home that provides guests with a beautiful and serene setting to call home while in Eugene. The layout of this home is thoughtfully designed to offer guests an open and inviting place to gather while simultaneously maintaining features that allow for privacy among your group. Gorgeous wood floors warm the space throughout the home, and the mid-century furniture has been selected for comfort and style. Artwork by local curator and artist, Robert Canaga, enhance this mid-century modern home. Bedrooms The home is a two-story, 2-bedroom, 1 bath, with a large and spacious loft. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen-size memory foam mattress and has large French doors that open to the Suite. The Suite has a view of the garden, full size sofa and comfortable reading chairs to create the perfect place to relax and unwind. The upstairs loft has a queen-size memory foam mattress, a reading area, and an office area with a full size writer's desk. Surrounding views of the trees and evening sky through the skylights, make the loft a private and dreamy space within the home. The bedrooms can accommodate up to 2 people, or 2 couples (4people). If you have another person or couple that would like to join your party, please inquire about the availability of the rental Studio on site. Bathroom The bathroom has a shower-tub and includes bath salts for the guest who truly wants to unwind! Specialty soaps are provided for guests, in addition to other amenities such as shampoo and conditioner, body wash and hair dryer. Kitchen The kitchen at Jackson Star is equipped to make almost any meal you desire. A complete set of Cuisineart cookware, new stove & oven, microwave, blender, toaster, various coffee makers, a selection of glassware, spices, tea and coffee. There is a large grill located out the kitchen door, and a set of utensils for grilling. In addition to a six-person dining table in the garden, a 2-person table situated in the kitchen offers a cozy breakfast area. Living Area The living room features a beautiful solid oak dining table set for four, and able to accommodate six. The L-shape sofa creates a place for friends and family to gather comfortably, or enjoy a movie on the large digital screen TV. TV is available with Netflix for streaming all your favorite shows or movies, and a HDMI cord for streaming from a laptop. The Garden The grounds around the home are beautifully landscaped to create garden nooks throughout the property, offering a place of serenity and beauty. There is a six-person dining table in the backyard, off the master Suite, available to house guests. Take a stroll to the nearby park or to one of the many great eating establishments within walking distance. A local organic grocery market, is conveniently located one block from the home. Guest access Parking: Parking is available in front of the main house, on the street, and is free all times of day, each day. Availability: Check in is 4-9 PM and Check out is 11AM. We will preemptively notify guests when an early check in or late check out is available. Outdoor Dining: Guests will enjoy a patio and garden setting off of the Master Suite. The garden setting is full of beautiful flowers, apple and fig trees. Bike Security: There is a covered bike rack behind a locked gate for those interested in bringing bicycles. Bike share program: Peacehealth Bike App Other things to note There is a rental Studio on the property, so please respect quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. You may also inquire to see if the Studio is available to add a party of 1-2 to your group. The housekeeper for properties is severely allergic to cats and dogs. No exceptions to the pet policy, even for service animals as her health is at risk! We ask that you remove shoes upon entry to the Star. The stairs to the loft are steep and not recommended for young children, or those not stable on their feet. Use caution when entering the staircase, as stairwell is narrow with low ceiling at the entry.
