We provide fully equipped kitchen, laundry, large porches, great coal grill and wonderful secludedness. Lovely for a small family get together to a magical staycation! Sinclair) Our lodge was originally a small cabin, built in the 1930's. It had been a family home from its inception til we bought it in 2014. Within our first year of ownership we were able to have gas run and a/c installed for the first time ever! We have worked hard to maintain and update little details to make our cabin more comfortable and modern without completely erasing the unique details of its original splendor. All the stone fireplaces and foundation you will see is from the original beautiful rock from our local and Historic Hanging Rock area. The Property itself is nestled back away from the road down a long private drive in the woods. We do have neighbors but no one is that close. So if you want the feeling of getting away to the middle of practically nowhere, but be able to get to all the local hangs of Downtown, Arts District, Reynolda Village and Gardens, Wake Forest University which is a mile away and major grocery stores like Lowe’s Foods and Harris teeter around the corner also including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, in 10 min or less then you will enjoy staying here! Beautiful views of oak trees and pines, and a great place to watch deer and sometimes see a few ground hogs foraging around. The cardinals and yellow finches are breathtaking and you are bound to have memorable mornings here sipping coffee or tea on one of our 3 beautiful stone porches! The cabin has a special personality and loves to be admired and appreciated! We hope you leave your stay here feeling refreshed and treated well. We have reliable WiFi, tv streaming platforms for you to sign in to on your own accounts, one large smart tv in the Treehouse room only ( we try to give people the modern conveniences but want to encourage more opportunities to engage with the feel of the history, nature and relaxation! Something we do not get often enough in our fast paced world today! A space for everyone’s level of comfort we hope. Guest access Guests will have access to main house and immediate surrounding grounds. Parking available in front of cabin. We can fit at least 6 cars if angled correctly without blocking the circle. Please do not block the circle drive or park to the right of the kitchen. Also please be mindful of the property lines and don’t wander on to neighboring cabins property. You will notice a mowed line that boarders the property around the cabin and the field of our adjoining property and will signify the property line when you look closely. Other things to note If you are unable to manage multi level housing, this may not be the place for you. It has 4 levels on one side of the house where the bedrooms sit and small cluster of steps through out the house- lighting is unique in cabins. We do our best and are always working to improve visibility with lamps and dimmers but old cabin are naturally darker due to the way they were built.
