Our unique Cabin is a 3 bd, 3 ba with en suite/family room and comfy sofa bed for a fourth bedroom option. Wifi, TV (Roku, At&t TV NOW, Netflix, Amazon ), fully equipped kitchen, laundry, large porches, great coal grill and wonderful secludedness. Lovely for a small family get together to a magical stay-cation! Look up our feature in the November 2017 issue of Winston Salem Monthly’s ‘ Step Inside’ ( all our professional photos are by J. Sinclair) Our lodge was originally a small cabin, built in the 1930's. It had been a fully equipped home minus most modern conveniences of course such as a/c, heating and gas Up until we were lucky enough to become the keepers of this property. It was kept in possession by the same family and in-laws and wasn't truly updated until the last few years when we bought it. All the stone fireplaces and foundation you will see is from the original beautiful rock from our local and Historic Hanging Rock area. The Property itself is nestled back away from the road down a long private drive in the woods. We do have neighbors but no one is that close. So if you want the feeling of getting away to the middle of practically nowhere, but be able to get to all the local hangs of Downtown, Arts District, Reynolda Village and Gardens, Wake Forest University which is a mile away and major grocery stores like Lowe’s Foods and Harris teeter around the corner also including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, in 10 min or less then you will enjoy staying here! Beautiful views of oak trees and pines, and a great place to watch deer and sometimes see a few ground hogs foraging around. The cardinals and yellow finches are breathtaking and you are bound to have memorable mornings here sipping coffee or tea on one of our 3 beautiful stone porches! The cabin has a special personality and loves to be admired and appreciated! We hope you leave your stay here feeling refreshed and treated well. Specs- 3 bd, 3 full ba with en suite/family room and comfy sofa bed for a fourth bedroom option. Wifi, directv Now live streaming tv and roku with Netflix and Amazon options. laundry, large porches, great Grill, fully equipped kitchen ( appliances, pots, pans, utensils, creamer, sugar, great coffee and teas and a few little breakfast starters to get you going on your first morning). French Press & Mr. Coffee drip 12 cup, toaster, microwave) Guests will have access to main house and immediate surrounding grounds. Parking available in front of cabin. Please do not block the circle drive or park to the right of the kitchen. It can get very muddy in the rain and we are trying very hard to grow back the grass. Also please be mindful of the property lines and don’t wander on to neighboring cabins property. You will notice a mowed line that boarders the property in front of the cabin and will signify the property line when you look closely. We will offer a lock box for check in . We will discuss day of check in if there are any conflicts you may have with that. It's beautiful. We are in the city of Arts and Innovation! You have Historical Bethabara and Bethania, Old Salem and Downtown, Wake Forest University and UNCSchool of the Arts, as well as a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, all within 10-15 min away! Depending on the season you come, there is anything from the enchanting holiday Moravian traditions to take part in and explore to The summer free festivals and music in downtown and the warm summer night art walks on Trade Street in the Arts District. Amazing antique stores, cafes and bakeries and artisan shops as well as the amazing Summer Cobblestone farmers market in Old Salem, the Dixie Classic faire in Fall, High Point Furniture Market ( 35 min away) and the year round famous Reynolda Museum and Gardens right around the corner! If you love to stroll, hike or cycle there are so many hiking paths and walks through Bethania, Reynolda Gardens as well as Old Salem! You will not run out of things to do, and if you don't what to do anything except relax, the cabin and property provide so much fulfillment. You can take an uber or a bus almost anywhere in the city and if you cycle it's a wonderful and easy city to get around If you are unable to manage multi level housing, this may not be the place for you. It has 4 levels on one side of the house where the bedrooms sit and small cluster of steps through out the house
