In a quiet neighborhood, the Sequoia Yacht Club Association is adjacent to expansive nature preserves, there are many activities in very close proximity year round. The space The Master suite has a bonus space with crib already set-up. There are two sets of bunk beds and two twin beds set up in the finished walk-out basement which makes for a perfect kids space. Guest access Sunbathing, sailing, swimming in the summer. Skiing, sledding, snowmobiling in the winter. Chili cook-offs, beer or wine festivals, summer and solstice festivals, farmers markets, scenic bike tours along M-119 (the Tunnel of Trees), and Headlands International Dark Sky Park where you can see more of the universe than just about anywhere on earth! Enjoy your day trips to historic Harbor Springs for a flashback to a 1900's resort town, Mackinaw City (and Mackinac Island by boat), or the private views of the Mackinac bridge from McGulpin point for the Jewel of the Great Lakes, and perhaps a day's (or more) boat ride on the Inland Waterway; an uninterrupted trip from the west side of Northern Michigan to the east side of Northern Michigan and into Lake Huron. With so much to do, you may just choose to relax on the beach and collect those infamous Petoskey Stones that are so common to the area. No matter what you choose, you are sure to create memories that will transcend generations! Other things to note Most years our beach is a walk-out (no steps) with plenty of sand. Because beach conditions are relatively out of our control, we cannot assure this on a yearly basis. Due to near record lake levels in 2019, much of our beach was washed out, and required 5 steps to get to the beach level. We are happy to give you our latest updates before booking.
