Continue toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. It will add to your bucket list if you have not traveled any stretch of this road. Actor Norman Reedus of The Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead featured the parkway on a 2016 episode of his AMC TV series Ride with Norman (Appalachia: Blue Ridge Parkway, Season 1, Episode 3). Just 1.25 hours from home and five miles off the parkway is Maggie Valley, home to the Wheels Through Time transportation museum, which features rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinctive array of one-off American automobiles.
