Each unit is advertised separate The space This 2 Br 2 Ba home is on the second floor of a duplex home, with two smaller units on the lower or main floor. This unit has its own entrance and is completely and privately independent of the lower units. You could rent the Coach House Unit 1, or Creekside Unit (separately advertised) with this unit for groups larger that 6. if you wish. There are great views to the surrounding hardwood forests with rhododendrons, other natives flowering shrubs and wildflowers. The woods are alive with birds and other wildlife. We guarantee you will enjoy the peaceful sound of Ox Creek just across the driveway from this home. The main bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and the loft has two single beds and is fine for children over 10 or adults. There is a trundle bed in the shared living room area which is comfortable for all children or adults. The kitchen is fully functional and supplied with pots and pans for cooking, glasses, cups, dishes and everything you need to serve a meal. The gas grill on the deck is ready for grilling. You will have a fridge. dishwasher, stove, toaster, coffee maker and fully functional and private washer/dryer in laundry room You need not bring linens or towels and we do provide some shampoo, soap, in case you forgot to bring them. Ox Glen is a vacation rental neighborhood shared with 3 additional vacation homes, is safe and quiet with a very relaxing mountain living feel. The Blue Ridge Parkway offers world class scenic touring and hiking., bicycling, motor cycling, restaurants, fishing, and more. The Parkway destination visitor center is just a 10-minute drive, where you can learn any tourist information about the Parkway you desire. You will be within 2 miles of the popular Mountains-to-sea trail along the parkway, or hike through our laurel groves and hardwood mountains on more than 6.5 acres of private trails. Within a short driving distance is the challenging and very affordable Asheville or Black Mountain municipal golf courses or the challenging Reems Creek Golf Course, just a 10’-minute drive away. There are year-round activities such as skiing at Wolf Laurel, 30 minutes north. Visit Asheville’s grand Biltmore Estate, shop the many antique shops in the area. or just relax in your beautifully appointed lodging on your own private deck. The Coach Hosue, is the lowest home on the mountain side, so is very accessible with plenty of parking year around. This home overlooks a beautiful creek where we have a picnic table and fire-ring, set up if you wish to fully enjoy it while eating.This home is just 10-15 minutes to downtown center of Weaverville where there are restaurants, grocery shopping, specialty shops, galleries, breweries annd many places of interest. Reems Creek Golf course is just 10 minutes away and there are many others. You can bicycle tour or hike trails on the Parkway just 2 miles away. In the areas there is white water rafting and kayaking, natural hot springs and spas, motorcycle touring on the Parkway and other well known roads, You are just 25 minutes from the Biltmore Estate. Mount Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, and Castle Rock State Parks are within a half hour drive. There are Zip lines, great fishing in lakes and streams, many local craft breweries,, wineries and distilleries, antique shops, music events, art galleries, outlet shopping, and many specialty stores. We have self-check in procedures with a combination lock on the door. I worked for 15 years on Blue Ridge Parkway and Teresa worked there for 18 years. We have lived in Ashville for many years so we can be your personal guide to Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, or western North Carolina. We are artists and outdoor adventurers, so we are very informed about all the wonderful shopping, outdoor adventure, art galleries, theaters, spas, natural hot springs, fishing, mountain bicycling, touring the Parkway and we keep a stock of information about the area for you. We provide the address, check-in information and directions to the home once the home is officially booked. Guest access Unlike many homes in Asheville, this home has private access and is a private unit complete with all you need private of all other units. You will enjoy the entire upper floor of this home, independently of the home on the lower or main floor. This unit has its own outdoor roofed deck with grill, tables and chairs, and plenty of relaxing seating. You have the option of renting only this unit for a group up to 6, or can rent Coach House Unit 1, or Creekside Unit (advertised independently at Ox Glen Coach House). Each has private access and full kitchens. and sleeping accommodations as advertised separately. You will not be renting just a room or someone's basement like most spaces in the Asheville city limit. This home is accessible by car year around without need of a 4-wheel drive and has a large driveway for plenty of parking adequate for all three units. The Ox Glen vacation rental neighborhood is shared with 3 additional vacation homes further up the private mountain road but are not within view of this home. We have a combination lock on the door so that you can self-check in any time at your convenience. We like to provide our guests their privacy but are only 15-minute drive away if there is a need. We have professional maid services sop this home sis kept super clean and we treat it with tender loving care. We are renting only the coach house but the total of 3 other vacation homes on this property. All 4 homes have been rented by groups for weddings, family or class reunions, and other group meetings. Please just ask about renting other Ox Glen Vacation homes if there is a group need. The community of Ox Creek has a community center with kitchen, that can be rented to accommodate large groups and it is just down the road less than 5-miniutes away. We do allow dogs but will only rent two units with pets at a time. There is a convenient dog run at the house, and great trails and country roads to walk your dogs within walking distance. The Parkway is often closed to Craggy Gardens n winter and is also a great place to walk dogs, enjoy a bike ride or great scenic hike. Other things to note This is a duplex home, and you will have a complete private home and entrance upstairs of the other two lower units. There are 14 steps to access this unit so please take this into consideration if you have mobility issues. Ox Glen Creek Side has no steps to access and is adequate for a group of 4, and Coach House Unit One has 4 steps and is adequate for a group of two. The home is well insulated, and sound proofed unless you are both out on the deck at the same time. Each unit has air conditioning and separate heating systems. Each home has kitchens, outdoor seating, and advertised bedrooms, living and dining rooms. The owners are located offsite just 15 minutes away should you have a need. We are just a phone call and a short drive away if you have questions about the area or need very competent tour guides. We are willing to rent both the upstairs and downstairs units together (advertised separately) for group vacationing with more than 6, but each unit must be rented independently.
