Aldernest - MDI/Acadia - walk across lawn to shore

Come back after hiking to your home away from home to walk down to the shore to enjoy the cool breeze off the ocean or begin the day w/your coffee in the morning sitting on the shore. Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet with us. The space We are located on the western side of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park in the coastal village of West Tremont. We can offer you a very private vacation cottage. You will love to go down to the beach and watch the beautiful sunsets. They will probably take your breath away. Acadia National Park takes up about 50% of Mount Desert Island. So no matter where you stay on MDI, you will want to explore the whole island. Stay with us and enjoy the peace and quiet of our location. You will be very glad you did. Guest access You can walk across the lawn down to the shore any time you wish. Other things to note This cottage is adjacent to our home and is just a short walk across the lawn down to the shore. We are located on the western side of Mount Desert Island in the coastal village of West Tremont. Acadia National Park takes up about 50% of Mount Desert Island. You can get to parts of the park within 10 minutes and to Bar Harbor in about 30 minutes. No matter where you stay on MDI, you will explore the whole island. This cottage is on a two acre lot adjoining our home. Stay with us and enjoy the peace and quiet with us. One of my tenants last year told me as he was leaving that the best part of each day after they went hiking or swimming was to come back "home" to the cottage.
