We are pleased to see the progressive, responsible parents using our tipi as a fun beneficial learning experience. Social distancing assured. The most unique private lodging in the area is filled with personal touches and serves as a great base for romantics, hikers, bikers, divers, bird watchers, winers and diners wanting to explore the natural beauty of the Ozarks. Super comfortable 22ft tipi is furnished with two queen beds and two additional twin cots. Toiletries, towels, pure cotton bedding, blankets (+electric blanket & heated mattress cover in cold months) and pillows provided, as well as an assortment of fresh teas, coffees, gas grill & utensils, tableware, hammock, propane fireplace, campfire ring, books, games, local maps, brochures and travel tips are also supplied. In the winter we provide a heater, and a fan in the summer. The tipi is tucked away in the woods on a 16-acre property where secluded forests envelope the maintained grounds. You will have plenty of solitude and space to hang your headdress, Yes, it's true, we supply free firewood, and a s'mores kit, too. Guest access Guests have access to their private parking and temperature controlled bath house with mini kitchenette, only 150 yards away from the tipi. There is great phone reception at the tipi (with 4G), and WI-Fi is available on top of the hill, near our house. Feel free to use the glider by our garden to connect. Our visitors are also welcome to utilize the shared fridge in the laundry room, and our sun-room in case of inclement weather, both adjoining their bathhouse. We offer additional services such as private hot tub access, fitness and spa (European standards apply), professional massages, sound bath, instructional courses, intimate wedding services and vow renewals, a perfect birthday / anniversary surprise on arrival, happy puppy retreat, etc all for additional fees. These services are for the comfort and convenience of our guests, who are under no obligation to partake. The complete list of options with prices will be included in your booking confirmation. To insure no one is hungry, we do provide meal services. Our meals are not exactly cheap as the price covers visiting local farms, fetching organic ingredients, crafting individual menus, prepping food & serving it warm at any time you like. We promise they won't only fill the stomachs, our guests praise them as some of their best dining experiences ever. Meals range from Gourmet Picnic Basket, Country Breakfast / Brunch, Intimate Dinner for Two, Slow Food Extravaganza, warm bread, home made yogurt, pesto, butter, jams, pâté, etc... Other things to note The tipi is in use all year, but bear in mind that temperature appropriate clothing is required. Don't show up in winter wearing shorts and expect to be comfortable. Long underwear, caps, gloves, warm jackets and winter footwear are mandatory. Summers provide a comfortable living environment thanks to the double canvas wall (or low-tech AC) which creates an updraft bringing cooler air from under the deck. For more air movement we add an electric fan. The bathhouse is fully air-conditioned and so is the sun-room (a shared space you are welcome to use).
