Welcome to Walaila Cottage – Your All-Season Escape in the Heart of the Haliburton Highlands! Tucked away on the tranquil shores of Cardiff Lake, Walaila Cottage is a cozy, four-season cedar Pan-Abode retreat perfect for families, couples, or a group of friends. With 160 feet of private shoreline, this peaceful getaway offers the best of lakeside living – whether you're swimming in the clear waters, lounging on the dock, or enjoying a cozy night by the fire. Don't forget to enjoy the Hot Tub!! The space Cozy log cabin set on a lovely open, grassy lot on Cardiff Lake. The cottage has three bedrooms, only mattress covers on the beds (linen service is available, please inquire) and one bathroom. An open living/dining/kitchen area and a large walk out deck on the main level as well as lower level additional living space. The kitchen is well equipped, including fridge, stove and microwave. Cardiff Lake is a small land locked lake - large motor boats not recommended. The cottage is across the lake from the highway - some audible road noise. Short five minute drive to Wilberforce for groceries or LCBO, or approx 20 minute drive to Bancroft. Guest access Canoe (some life jackets available however appropriate life jackets for sizes of guests should be brought as needed), BBQ with propane, fire pit, Water Toys, Satellite TV Other things to note Minimum 2 night rental and 3 night minimum for long weekends. We will do 1 night stays, please inquire. July and August we require minimum 5 night stay.
