This cozy and elegant 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin was crafted using rugged 8x8 post and beam timber framing. The mortise and tenon joinery for the exposed frame, passed down through the centuries, creates an authentic old world look and feel. The 1440 sq. ft. interior is tastefully finished with wide-board Vermont hemlock flooring along with reclaimed brick from New York City. This location, adjacent to Germantown, enjoys access to the best the Hudson Valley has to offer - centered between Rhinebeck to the south and Hudson to the north, and is just a short drive to the Catskill Mountains. The uncluttered interior is luxuriously furnished and comfortably sleeps 4. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed (Leesa Hybrid mattress), tucked under exposed beams, making it an incredibly cozy place to retire. The oversized master suite is the entire 2nd floor with loads of space for a king size bed (Leesa Hybrid mattress), on-suite bath, chaise lounge and desk/work area. Additionally, there is a wonderfully inviting single twin bed (premium memory foam mattress), under the stairway – great for kids, or even a single adult. All beds have super-soft, linen sheets and comforter covers. All pillows and mattresses have Ultimate bed bug blocker zip covers. Patio with comfortable furniture for al fresco dining on warm summer evenings. Lounge on the porch swing or comfy sofa while enjoying your morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the screened-in front porch. State of the art gorgeous kitchen with soapstone counter tops is fully equipped with high end appliances including new refrigerator with freezer and built in ice maker, range with a double oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a drip coffee maker, additional hand held and small appliances. Additional amenities include: Split A/C units upstairs and downstairs, under floor radiant heat, TV with apps, Fiber Optic wifi so super fast, iron & board, 1 hair dryer, full sized washer and dryer, linens, towels, dishes and cooking utensils, including tools for the outdoor BBQ. We provide the following additional items to start you off: dish towels, dish cloths, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash liners and laundry detergent. Also provided throughout the cabin are bed linens, bath towel sets, toilet paper, soap in each bathroom, shampoo, conditioner. The cabin is also equipped with a broom, dustpan and brush, portable vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies including hand sanitizer. For your protection there is a security camera (facing the driveway). There is a fire pit with wood and Adirondack chairs around it. Sorry, strictly no pets. If you have a service dog please consider somewhere else as we have family members with serious allergy issues. The Cabin is unsuitable for toddlers. No smoking/vaping/e-cigs in cabin or screened in porch. No open flame of any kind. Must be 25+ years to rent. IMPORTANT: We will not allow access to our cabin without signing our Terms and Conditions. The whole house and front and back yard. We live in the house further along the driveway and so we will be available if needed between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm. Of course 24/7 for emergencies. Our spot is private and no immediate neighbors are visible from the cabin during the summer months. At the moment our house is visible but we have recently planted trees that will grow to provide good cover and privacy. We are located two miles from 9G and two miles from Route 9. That puts us directly between two winery's, Clermont Vineyard and Tousey Winery owned by Kimberly and Ben (our absolute fav) - make sure you pop in to see them. A hop, skip and jump from Tousey is Hudson Valley Distillers, a lovely spot for munchies and drinks. Suarez Brewery is a couple of miles north of Tousey. We do have a neighbor with a rooster. Sorry. We have some fantastic walks close by. The historic Clermont State Park is three miles away and a great spot to watch the sunset over the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. The Tivoli Bays are about five miles away. The charming village of Tivoli is a short distance from the cabin and has several restaurants, our fav is Santa Fe. Try their 3G's margarita and absolutely anything on the menu. Tivoli is also home to the Katsbaan Cultural Park, a beautiful venue for dance performances. We are a short drive from Germantown which hosts the famous Otto's Market and the well loved Gaskins Restaurant. On your way to Hudson via 9G you will pass by historic Olana and worth a visit. Bard College and the Fischer Center which hosts the Speigel Tent in the summer is a short drive away. A car for transport is essential as were are rural. Mon, Tuesday and Wednesdays some local businesses are closed so it's best to check. We are sorry we aren't including pets in your stay, we have family members that have serious allergies and need to keep it fur and dander free. The cabin accommodates four people comfortably. Up to ONE ADDITIONAL GUEST MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE BOOKING and additional charges will apply per guest , per night. Some of the brewerys and restaurants may not be open at the beginning of the week particularly during the winter months.
