Description

33 miles to Traverse City & Interlochen, 12 miles to Cadillac. Everything you need for that special "Up North" vacation! 150' of sandy, private beach on beautiful Lk. Meauwataka! Great for swimming, boating, fishing, & floating! Relax while you listen to the resident loons, & watch the bald eagles circling the lake. Mobile home is clean & comfy, & offers all you need, just bring personal items,clothes & food! Deck overlooking the lake, campfire pit, room for a tent, & area to play outdoor games. The space *We're usually able to respond to any inquiries within 30 minutes! Northern Michigan beauty surrounds you at Lake Meauwataka! Large lakefront lot w/ towering pines on clear, deep (up to 65 ft. deep), 95 acre spring-fed Lake Meauwataka! Private, clean, sandy beach of over 150 ft.! Mobile home has 2 bedrooms: 1 bedrm. has bunks-twin on top, full on btm. Other bedrm. has new queen-size bed. All bedding, bath & kitchen linens are provided. Window Air Conditioners in both bedrooms and living room! Bathroom has a full tub & shower. Liv.Rm. couch pulls out into a queen bed. Flat screen Smart TV (Roku) gets approx. 12 channels. There's a DVD player & a variety of DVD's. **There is no wifi. At our home next door we use our Verizon phone as a hot spot. If you need wifi, you will need to go through your own phone or your own other options. We supply lots of board games! Kitchen has a new gas range/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, & all needed cookware/pots/pans/dishes/silverware/drinkware, etc. Small attached porch, and larger detached deck that directly overlooks the lake. On the deck there's a gas grill, & 2 tables and plenty of chairs for dining. Includes a dock, & a fishing boat w/ oars, life jackets (exc. toddler size ones-please bring your own), 2 paddle boats, and a raft. We also provide a couple 'float noodles', & some sand toys. If you bring your own float chairs, Mike can blow them up with his compressor. There is also a pontoon that can be rented for $75 cash per day, plus gas, pd directly to host. See details in other section. There's a campfire pit at waters edge w/ marshmallow sticks, & all campfire wood is provided, along w/ a lantern, & lawn games. We have a small pontoon boat available for daily rental for an additional $75, plus gas. This is paid directly to the host, in cash, when you are here. ***Limit of 5 adults on the pontoon. 6 if some are small children. ***Only registered guests allowed on the pontoon. ***No smoking or vaping of any kind allowed on the pontoon. ***Driver must have a valid drivers license and be at least 21 years old. On average, the boat probably won't use more than 2 gallons per day. It uses Off-Road gas, which normally is about $1 more per gallon than regular gas. We will supply the gas, & you just pay us directly for that, too. Enjoy a day on the lake, jumping off the boat to swim & just relax, go for a sunset ride, or a late night trip out onto the lake to stargaze in the darkest of skies! * Cash payment to host once here. Boat must be kept on this lake. Contact host for more information. Lots of trails to hike, walking distance to Manistee Nat. Forest, 10 miles to the North Country Trail. Several canoe/kayak rentals on several rivers close by. Many golf courses close by! Casinos within 30-40 miles. Less than 20 miles to the picturesque High Rollway on the Manistee River., where you can hike the trails, & soak in the beauty of northern Michigan, with majestic views that span over 100 miles from high bluffs over the winding Manistee Rv. Especially gorgeous in the fall! Nearby Mesick holds the title as "Mushroom Capital of the U.S.". Mother's Day weekend is their annual festival, with many events. There's thousands of acres of National Forest open to the public for hiking, and looking for those delicious delicacies! Traverse City Cherry Festival is held for a week in July! Enjoy the festival, then come back to relax & enjoy the peaceful waterfront setting of Lake Meauwataka! Take day trips to wineries, breweries, quaint towns, Lake Michigan attractions, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Interlochen Arts Academy concerts, antique shops, shopping, and so much more! Guest access Access to entire home, and property. Over 150 ft. of waterfront with fantastic, clean, sandy beach. Areas for a tent under the large pines. Areas of shade to play lawn games (provided). Chairs & swings to relax in at the water's edge, along with a small table & chairs to read at under the pines. Comfy campfire area on the beach, chairs & firewood provided. There's your own private dock, 2 paddle boats, a fishing boat with oars, and a swimming raft to relax on, & jump off of. Optional pontoon rental. Other things to note *Under House Rules please be sure to scroll down all the way to see all House Rules. When you request a stay, I will need to confirm with you that you have read all of the House Rules, and that everyone in your group is able to follow them. Thanks! *Cleaning fee of 75.00. If it's an extended stay, the provided towels and sheets will continue to be washed once a week for an additional 40.00 per time, if desired. (paid directly to host).
