Villa Makris is a sensational, uniquely located holiday home with private heated pool enjoying a privileged position just 800m from the famous sandy beach of Arillas: a car is not essential! Providing breathtaking views over the sea and the sunset, together with sumptuous interiors sleeping up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, this villa is set to impress for its quality, feeling and attention to the details. The space Fully air-conditioned, the villa offers great privacy yet being within easy reach of the resort amenities and is surrounded by extensive private gardens perfect for outdoor living all summer long: watching every evening the sunset over the Ionian Sea will be the experience of a lifetime! And a generously sized private swimming pool (that can be heated on request) completes the setting to provide an unforgettable stay even during the coolest months. Inside, the villa is set over 2 floors and has been carefully designed to offer wise terraces, spacious common areas as well as airy sea-facing bedrooms. The main living area is located on the ground floor and it comprises an impressive open plan living room with adjoining dining area and fully equipped kitchen, perfect for a fully self-catering holiday. On the ground floor there is also a shower room. Stairs lead up to the first floor where the 4 bedrooms are located. Two of the bedrooms have double beds while the other two have twin beds that can be joined on request to form doubles. The master bedroom has its own huge ensuite bathroom with both jacuzzi bathtub and shower. The other bedrooms share a family bathroom with bathtub and shower over. Large terraces provide amazing views over the sea and the pool below. For the comfort of our guests, the whole property is equipped with air-conditioning and televisions, both in the bedrooms and in the living room. Outside, Villa Makris is a true little heaven on hearth. The manicured gardens house a generously sized private heated pool (measuring 7m x 4m, depth 1,5m) perfectly designed to attract sun all day (it even features a built-in sitting bench to relax while enjoying the sea views). The pool has a modern natural filtration system, which avoids chemicals. Comfortable sunbeds, parasols, as well as a shaded outdoor dining area with barbecue and sink are provided for delicious al-fresco meals. The private pool cen be heated to offer a perfect holiday experience through all the season, and pool heating if required is payable locally at euros 40 per day. Although relying constantly on a car is not necessary for this villa, private parking is available within the premises. NOTES: for the convenience of our guests, the price quoted includes everything, and no extras are required locally. Air-conditioning, wi-fi internet, maid service twice a week, change of hand/bath towels twice a week and change of bed linen once a week are included in the rental rates. Pool heating is available on request at euros 40 per day. A refundable security deposit for damages of euros 300 is required on arrival and refunded at check-out. Other things to note On the 15th of December 2023, the Greek Government introduced a new tax on holiday rentals with the aim to fight the climate emergency. The new “climate resilience tax” bacame effective in 2024 and will be consequently increased from 1st of January 2025 to the foreseen amount of 2 euros per property per night for studios and apartments and 15 euros per property per night for villas and large holiday homes (details are still under review, and official figure for each specific property will be added to the pre arrival info for all our guests). Therefore, for example, a stay of 7 nights in a villa during 2025 summer (non depending on the number of guests staying) will have a total climate resilience tax of euros 105. For all the existing and future reservations, the amount will be payable locally on arrival. Despite being this a sudden decision, which caused a considerable surprise in ourselves, we are therefore obliged to comply with the new regulation informing all our present and future guests of this extra charge.
