Follow one of the nature trails, do a spot of bird watching on the river or try your hand at one of the water sports on offer. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the 18-hole golf course (1 mile), and the charming local conservation zoo (Shaldon Wildlife Trust 0.5 miles) is a must, as are the fabulous beaches and the Shaldon Botanical Gardens (0.5 miles).
