Home in Hanahan

Our home is on the front side of our duplex located on a cul-de-sac in a quiet, mature neighborhood which is just a short jaunt to all the Charleston sites. It is perfect for families with little ones, couples, or business travelers. A note on guest count: we can accommodate up to 6 adults in beds, not including infants. Requests for reservations larger than this will be assessed case by base. You will appreciate quick freeway access which makes getting around a breeze. We are located: 25 minutes from Mt. Pleasant, downtown Charleston, & West Ashley's plantations; 30 minutes to IOP/Sullivan's beaches; 15 minutes to Summerville, the airport, & Tanger Outlets; 5-10 minutes to grocery stores, mall, Target/Wal-mart, hospital & Wannamaker Park (playground, water park, etc.). We own the entire property and have both sides of our duplex available on AirBnB (the other side is Child-Friendly Retreat Near Charleston, 2). Our home is approximately 1650 sq ft. Bright living room has stylish & comfortable furniture, and lots of good books, board games, and movies to enjoy. Smart TV, Blu-Ray/DVD player, Roku, & digital antenna. Well appointed kitchen should you like to enjoy some baking or cooking while you're here! Due to allergies/asthma, our home is pet, smoke, and carpet free. We have three bedrooms: The master has a Nectar brand king sized bed, dual closets, ceiling fan, direct access to the back patio, en suite bathroom with walk in shower, and black out curtains. The second has a Sealy Posturepedic queen bed, standard-sized crib (height appropriate for toddler), dresser with removable changing pad, glider chair, ceiling fan, walk in closet, and black out curtains. The third has a twin bunk bed, accent chair, children's rocking chair, play kitchen, children's books & toys, ceiling fan, black out curtains, a dresser for clothes, and small closet. Bedrooms do not have TVs. Dining room has seating for 6, and there is a separate, adjacent office nook with two desks and a door. House is child-friendly & well equipped to accommodate little ones: crib, bunk bed, 2 reading/nursing chairs (one is a glider), black-out curtains & changing table; hall bathroom with a tub & step stool, Keekaroo high chair; KidCraft learning tower/kitchen helper; rocking horse; rope disk swing, small (covered, netted) trampoline & several other outdoor toys. If you aren't bringing children, don't worry--baby equipment is easily tucked away. Private fenced back yard has lots of room for little ones to run around and explore. The backyard also has a covered patio with outdoor seating and a propane grill. Property is well lit from the street to the backyard by automatic exterior and security lighting. Off street parking is available for 2 to 3 cars, and additional cars must park on the street. Neighborhood has a tennis court & playground, & our house is located 2 blocks from a fire station in the event of an emergency. Other things to note Please note that an active train track does run directly behind our house, but trains are normally not allowed to blow their whistles, so it is just the rail noise. If you are a light sleeper, we suggest you bring ear plugs or a white noise machine. It does not disturb us or our children.
