Schweet Schnitzelburg Suite

This private guest suite sits in the heart of the Schnitzelburg neighborhood in Louisville, only 3.5 miles from downtown, approximately 2 miles from Churchill Downs, 1.5 miles from U of L, 2 miles from the Louisville Expo Center, and 3 miles from the Louisville Zoo. The suite is situated in the basement of a cape-cod style brick home and features a private, first-floor entrance, one bedroom with a full-size bed, a full bath, and a cozy living area. The space This guest suite is comfortably outfitted to make for a great home-base during your next Louisville excursion. From the first-floor entrance you'll descend four stairs to a comfortable living area with a TV, sofa, miniature fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The bedroom features a cozy, full-size bed and closet. There's also a full bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower- please note, the lighting in the shower is a little bit dim. We include all necessary amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including wifi, bath towels, extra blankets, common toiletry items, coffee/creamer, iron/ironing board, and recommendations for local and regional activities. I also have a twin-size air mattress that I can setup in the living room for parties of 3, upon request. Also located in the basement are a washer and dryer, available for guest use. It should also be noted that this is a basement unit, so some of the doorways are a little low and may require some ducking for people over 6-ft. Also, being that this is a basement unit, the basement temperatures stay pretty mild year-around: refreshingly cool in the summer and sometimes a little brisk in the winter. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the bedroom and living area both have space heaters, and the bedroom also features a table fan. Finally, please note that I do live in the upstairs unit of the home, and while I am careful to keep the noise down while guests are in the basement (especially between 10 pm and 8 am), you can hear people walking upstairs occasionally. You may also hear airplanes flying overhead, as we're very close to the Louisville Airport, but the noise is less, being that you're in the basement and windows were recently replaced.
