Have your coffee outside in the garden. We're the "gateway" to the Gorge, 1/2 mile to restaurants, shops, breweries, Columbia + Washougal Rivers, 1 hour to Mt. Hood. The basement apartment is spacious, comfortable and decorated with personal and vintage touches throughout. Lots of windows and light. Nice sized bedroom with queen bed, closet with plenty of hangers. Large 3/4 bath. Bedding, towels, bath care products are provided for each guest for the duration of stay. Air purifier and dehumidifier provided to make a more comfortable experience. This is a basement apartment. Entire bottom floor of home is for guest private use. We do live upstairs and keep our area separate from our guests. Our cat, Monkey lives exclusively upstairs as well. You will not see him during your stay. Full size Fridge, Toaster Oven, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Keurig, French Press, Tea Kettle. Dishes, bowls, coffee mugs, stemware, flatware, wine opener + can opener. Dish rack for washing and drying dishes, sink for washing dishes. We do not have a stove for cooking. Covered outside deck with lounge area, handcrafted wood farm table. Fire pit stocked with firewood, weather permitting. There is also a Patio Heater for the cooler fall nights. The full size BBQ is also available for use. Solar lights are located along the pathways, deck and gardens. Wi-fi available. Flat screen, dvd and VHS players with remote, TV does not have cable channels, but has access to Hulu/Netflix (your account). Plenty of movies in our library. We find that most of our guests are visiting the Gorge to enjoy the local scenery and explore the numerous outdoor experiences, restaurants and breweries literally in our backyard. We are also close to Lacamas Lake in Camas, which has over 16 miles of wooded trails, and in the summer is a wonderful place to swim or SUP. Additional sleeping arrangements include a large sectional that sleeps one comfortably. We do recycle and will have directions in the house on how to handle. We are 20 minutes from PDX Airport, 35 minutes to downtown Portland and 5 minutes to the Washougal and Columbia Rivers. In the winter we are about a 90 minutes from Mt. Hood for snowboarding and downhill skiing and have many cross country trials down the road from our house. We love this area and hope you do too! We live above the AirBnB space but are not home often and do move around as quietly as possible. If we do need to water plants in the garden space during the summer months we will let you know prior. We prefer to let our guests have time to themselves and will be available if requested. We are happy to recommend local wineries, breweries, secret local spots to try, hikes, water sports, snow sports, foraging and other fun things to do in the Gorge. We are 1/2 mile from downtown Washougal with wonderful restaurants, shops, yoga, riverfront trails, boat launch and 3 miles to Camas with antique malls, outstanding restaurants, bars and parks. Parking is available in our driveway. **Coronavirus update: As hosts it is our responsibility to keep our guests and community safe and prevent the transmission of COVID-19. We ask that guests that stay with us follow CDC guidelines for social distancing. Our cleaning staff are taking extra precautions to deep clean between guests. We are using primarily bleach based products for bathroom/kitchen areas as well as antibacterial cleaners for surfaces and handles. Sheets, duvet covers and towels are professionally laundered. This is our family home so that means we live here on a daily basis and move around upstairs, please just treat our home the same way you would treat your own. We ask that no smoking of any kind on property. House Rules: Quiet Hours are 10 pm to 7 am. - Fires in the fire pit need to be put out by 12 am. Keep in mind quiet hours start at 10 pm. - If there is a spill that may result in a stain, just let us know. Please do not try to clean it yourself. If any of the following rules are broken by anyone in your party, we reserve the right to enter the unit to evaluate the situation. You will be notified prior to entry. You will be asked to leave and any booked days will not be refunded. - No smoking inside, anywhere on the property. This includes marijuana, vape devices, illegal drugs, and cigarettes. _No eating or drinking IN the hot tub - please notify us immediately if the water is cloudy or level too low - Yes, cannabis is legal in the state of Washington. No, it’s not allowed on our property. If we smell it or see it, you will be asked to leave. - No illegal drugs are allowed on the property - No overnight guests outside the original booking - Outdoor fires may be made in the designated fire pit ONLY. - No downloading illegal content or pornography on our wifi network. - Hate-speech is not tolerated. If we hear it from any guests, you and any other guests will be asked to leave. We absolutely love animals. Because we have a pet in our house we will not be accepting additional pets traveling with guests at this time. Reservations pricing is based on one to two guests, each additional person staying the night will be $20.00 per person per night unless it's an infant. Security deposit is ONLY used if there is damage and a claim is filed. Our washer and dryer are in the private space but are not available for short term stays.
