Description
Welcome to Gatherwild Ranch, an upscale, design-forward farm stay home to 8 beautiful and unique accommodations spread out on the rolling hills of a former apple orchard. Inspired by life upstate, Gatherwild offers guests everything from a pick-your-own veggie garden to artist-led workshops to luxury amenities – including a new to-this-year sunset deck, bathhouse, cold plunge tubs, and sauna – for a unique glamping experience in the Hudson Valley. The space 🏕️ About One of 4 glamping tent options, the Firefly Tent boasts ultimate privacy and a spectacular view up on the ridgeline of Gatherwild Ranch. Firefly was one of our original sites due to the epic feeling up along the rocky hill that shows the entire orchard. Sitting at the border of the wood's edge, Firefly is the longest walk from the parking area and bathhouse, so it's an excellent option for those who pack a little lighter. The tent platform deck overlooks the landscape and sits back privately towards the wooded area with a private picnic table, cooler, fire pit, grill, and Adirondack chairs. (Firewood and ice are available for purchase on-site.) Solar lights gently light the tent from within in the evenings, and the stargazing here is simply spectacular. 🧼 Bathhouse This accommodation shares a spacious, brand-new bathhouse with two Moroccan-tiled showers, four toilets, upscale toiletries, towels, and a hair dryer. 🧖♀️Sauna & Cold Plunge Enjoy our new "Nodic Cycle" health amenity: a handbuilt cedar-lined sauna with a clawfoot cold plunge. It's available for use all season long. ✨ Outdoor Kitchen At Gatherwild, you're free to roam the acres. The property has several barns, a wood workshop, and several gathering areas with picnic tables. Later in the summer, we have fresh veggies from the garden to offer. The outdoor kitchen is protected and usable in rain or shine. We provide cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, lighting, a small shared fridge, a propane stove, a charcoal grill, and two shared outlets for charging devices. 🚲 Bikes Cruiser bikes are available for you to borrow. They're great for going to the market and back but are only suitable for a short distance. 🌈 Weather All accommodations are weatherproof. Usually more fun in the sun, but rain gives reason to sip wine in the outdoor kitchen looking out or snuggle inside. 🐶 Pets We understand that pets are part of the family, so we welcome dogs (sorry no cats due to common allergy) for an additional $25 non-refundable pet deposit, payable by cash, electronic payment, or card on file. We kindly ask that you ensure the cleanliness of dogs on the linens and carpets. Any damage above normal laundering will be charged in addition. Pets are not permitted to stay in tents alone. Due to roaming chickens and goats, they must be on a leash around the main house, animals, and garden area. 🪩 Events Are you planning to get married, host a retreat, or hold a private party? We'd love to chat about your plans. Guest access We will provide info via text a week prior to your stay with best practices and recommendations on where to dine, hike, and entertain. We are available on site and by text. Please use the map provided to find your way to parking and your accommodation. We look forward to hosting you! Other things to note Germantown is a small hamlet with a great little main street. It is nestled between the larger towns - Rhinebeck, Kingston & Hudson, all about 20 minutes away. We are a 20 minute drive from the Hudson Amtrak station, where there are cabs (call in advance). We have bikes for short distances (like getting into town) once on the property. Driving is recommended to see the surrounding attractions.
