Situated in historic Queen Anne, the apartment is within walking distance of cute cafes, popular restaurants, and nightlife spots along Queen Anne Ave N. The Space Needle is a 7-minute drive away. This charming basement studio apartment has very low ceilings in some spots. Those over 5' 8" will have to duck in a couple of spots. We also have two dogs who you may hear outside in our yard and upstairs. You may hear them from time to time, we try to keep the barking to a minimum. The space Best of both worlds, close to everything, but quiet. Queen Anne Hill is one of Seattle's oldest neighborhoods, just up the hill from The Seattle Center (Space Needle, etc.), Belltown/Downtown, and Lake Union. The private basement apartment is the newest part of our 1902 home. You have your own entrance on the side of the house, and we are two blocks from Queen Anne Avenue where you will find everything from daily needs accommodations to restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and boutiques, kids’ store, a book store (they still exist) four banks, exercise/fitness studios, a butcher, dry cleaners, nail salons, really you could come to Seattle, never leave Queen Anne, and be perfectly content. Additionally, our neighborhood has numerous parks, post card worthy vista points and a community swimming pool all within a one mile radius of our home. Your home away from home is just a a bus ride away from Belltown/Downtown, Pike Place Market and some great shopping at Westlake center. On your way to all three of those places, you will pass by the Seattle Center where you will find the Space Needle, Experience Music Project Museum, The Pacific Science Center/IMAX, and so much more. The bus two blocks from our house will drop you off right at the Seattle Center in within 15 minutes. Ride sharing is abundant, and parking is easy and free. Your accommodations include a small kitchen (stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, cups, bowls, etc.) with refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, and keurig with a selection of coffees, tea, and hot chocolate. There is a bathroom with shower, soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels. The sleeping area has a bedroom with very comfortable double/full bed, including sheets, pillows and blankets; dining and living room; free fast Wireless Internet, cable TV. There is also an an inflatable full sized mattress accompanying linens. (If you plan to use this, let me know so that I can have extra blankets and pillows available) Street parking in front of our house is first come first take, but you should not have to park more than half a block away at the maximum. Usually you will find parking in front of the house or directly across the street. If you are getting about without a rental car, light rail can take you from the airport to Westlake Plaza in downtown Seattle. Bus connection is on Third Avenue (a block from the Westlake light rail station) and deposits you within two blocks of our house. Three bus routes are within 2 blocks of our house. All three will take you directly to the Seattle Center and downtown. Bike rental and ride share are abundant. Street parking is free, and pretty easy if you choose to rent a car. Feel free to use all of the apartment. We have outfitted it for our family friends, and you to stay comfortably! We have a fully furnished kitchen, some condiments, soaps, shampoo and conditioner and towels. Please keep shoe wearing to a minimum - it will help us keep the carpets mud leaf free. The washer dryer is an all in one unit, so if you use it, please give yourself 3-4 hours for the cycle to complete. It is (like many aspects of this unit) compact, so you will need to do little loads. We look forward to hosting you in our home and our city!
