Description

La Carrihuela is located in Algodonales, at the foot of the Sierra de Grazalema National Park. This charming country house is 5 minutes from downtown. We have everything you need to have a good stay. Your pets will be welcome upon request and with a supplement. The space I want to invite you to get to know our house and welcome you if you are thinking of staying with us. Our house has been operating since 2000 and is built with all the love that we, the project's promoters, put into it when we decided to come and live in the rural world, away from the stress of the city. My name is Isabel and I will be happy to welcome you and help you with anything you need. We will be close to you to help you enjoy a great time. RURAL HOUSE: Our country house is located in Algodonales, a town that belongs to the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. We are about a five-minute walk from the town square. It has a mix of Andalusian and Moroccan style. It will offer you everything you need to have an unforgettable stay. We have apartments for couples, with a sofa bed in the living room, if necessary an extra bed. We can offer apartments for 2 to 4 people. The houses are fully equipped with bed linen, towels and kitchenware. They have a microwave, kitchen, TV, hot and cold air conditioner, hairdryer, first aid kit, washing machine, iron, wifi, etc. But what you should not forget is that we have original fireplaces that will allow you to enjoy evenings by the fire at home. We offer the firewood, with the first load free of charge for stays of two or more days. Our apartments have a common patio, with barbecue, garden furniture and direct access from your home. What distinguishes it is that it is a house over 100 years old, restored in the year of opening and in which we have tried to preserve as much as possible the typical and traditional architecture of the area, such as whitewashed walls, mud floors and wooden beam ceilings. Some of the apartments have rock walls, showing their original construction. Parking is available on the same street as the accommodation. Within the town you can visit: • Church of Santa Ana: Baroque style, founded on November 6, 1784, • Hermitage of the Virgencita: Located on the outskirts, it is dedicated to the Virgin of Sorrows. We have news of its existence in the mid-nineteenth century in the work of Madoz • Cerro de la Botinera Archaeological Site: The site is located on a small nearby hill. This site belongs to a settlement from the Ibero-Roman period (2nd century BC). C.-II d. C.) • Fountains and Public Laundries: They were made in the 19th century and are scattered throughout the town. Water is a very abundant resource in the town. • Non-motorized flight areas: The town has several areas for takeoff and landing of paragliders and the like. Even if you don't practice this sport, you should not miss the flight areas as their views are impressive and finding the large group of athletes spreading their wings is quite a spectacle. RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING If there is anything that characterizes this municipality, it is the LIFE it has. It only takes a few minimum rays of sunshine for people to take to the streets. Algodonales lives around its rectangular square. In it you can find local numbers where you can enjoy a great meal at very affordable prices. Most of our tenants are surprised at how cheap it is to eat here. Apart from these bars, you can also enjoy a delicious meal at the roadside shops. Shops where you can get bread, fruit, meat, fish or other basic products are also located in and around the square, as well as in its Plaza de Abastos. TOURIST INFORMATION Due to the geographical point where we are, we are very well located to get to know many interesting places. If you visit us, depending on the time you have, you should not miss: • Cultural routes: Ronda, Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra, El Gastor, Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas, Cueva de la Pileta • Active Tourism: We have information so you can do activities on your own, but there are also numerous companies that carry out all the adventure activities that the area allows, such as canyoning, hiking, cycling, bungee jumping, free flight sports, horseback riding, caving. From Algodonales, there are some simple and very pleasant hiking trails to do if you have children or want to take a walk in the countryside. Guest access The house is fully rented and has everything you need. The common area is the patio, which is directly accessible from the three apartments we have. Other things to note Within the town you can visit: • Church of Santa Ana: Baroque style, founded on November 6, 1784, • Hermitage of the Virgencita: Located on the outskirts, it is dedicated to the Virgin of Sorrows.
