Lots of art in the house! Room with queen bed/bath within 15 minute walking distance of downtown Sisters. Morning coffee and toast included. Wi-fi. No smoking. Parking available out in front. We have a big backyard that's great for pets. However, dogs can be an issue because of dog hair, dog poop and sleeping on our beds. We don't want to say "no pets" but this is an issue for discussion at the time of booking. Our house is located within the city limits of Sisters. We are just a short 15 minute walk to the center of downtown Sisters. The available room is at one end of our ranch house while our bedroom is at the other end, so you will have plenty of privacy. The room has it's own bathroom and there is another shared bathroom right outside in the hallway. We do not have central air-conditioning, but we have fans and a portable AC. The evenings tend to cool down very quickly here in the high desert. We have a large, fenced-in backyard so kids or a well-behaved dog could enjoy that. We currently have no pets. Access to the house is through the front door. We provide breakfast and enjoy conversing with our guests. Our days are pretty busy but we are both extroverts and enjoy meeting new people. If amenable to you, Paul may even play you an original song on his ukulele! We have some great neighbors! Also, easy access to downtown, a movie theatre, health club, brew pub, 3 Mexican restaurants as well as several bike and hiking trails. Easy to walk into town, or ride a bike or drive. No public transportation in Sisters. We're both artists/art teachers so we're interested in cultural activities. We love to travel and hear about the adventures of others. We have a son who is currently living in Berlin, Germany. Paul plays the ukulele, writes his own songs and, if it seems appropriate, may entertain with one or more of them! He has written three books: Night Skies, Pandemic Portraits and HUG.
