Our Bridgewater home is right on North River in Rockingham County yet we are only 2 miles from Bridgewater College and all that the town of Bridgewater has to offer. We are 15 minutes from all that Harrisonburg has to offer. We have many activities available; sightseeing, dining, swimming, canoeing, campfires by the river, or simply sitting in our pavilion overlooking the river while the sun sets over the hill. Coffee and Tea is provided. Early check in is an option but please ask first. The space This is the basement of our home, you will most likely hear my wife, myself, and our three children's foot steps above you. The ceiling is insulated, but sometimes it can get a little noisy. The kids usually go to bed around 8:30 and get up around 7:00, they are the noise makers. Available for your use is a canoe with paddles but no life jackets. You may use our wood for campfires while it lasts. Feel free to ask in advance if it is a priority for you. We have a dog named lady, she is incredibly friendly, please don't let her inside the house. fishing is always an option, trout are stocked pretty far up the river. I have caught a few bass, one trout, and a ton of suckers. Suckers are considered junk fish and they kind of own this section of the river. This is private property so you won't need a license. And while you can catch fish if you try hard enough, it is unlikely that you will have much success from our banks. Guest access You will have access to our basement apartment which includes one bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. You will also have access to a pavilion overlooking North River. We have a campfire area along the river along with a canoe available to those who wish to use them. Feel free to use our fire wood if you can find some laying around, it is not always in plentiful supply. Early check in is an option but please ask first. Be respectful of our home 2.Enjoying a glass of wine or a beer is fine but excessive drinking and drunkenness will not be tolerated 3. No parties, no unmentioned guests 4.Laundry is available only upon request, text Mike. 5.Please hang towels on a wall/door hook to let them dry before putting them into a laundry basket. 6.If you make a mess clean it up. 7.If something is damaged or broken notify us immediately so a resolution can be made if needed 8.If your trash is full you can place the bag outside in one of the garbage bins.
