The space The AirBnB unit is the entire first floor apartment and requires one step to enter the building and a single flight of stairs to enter the apartment. There's keyless entry into the stairwell and both front and back apartment doors are keyed locks. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, and all the tools a cook needs to prepare almost any meal. We provide coffee, teas, cooking oil, and spices to get you started. Entertainment options include a large, flat screen TV with various streaming services, a DVD player and a diverse DVD library, bluetooth and CD sound system with CD library, games, and a leave-a-book/take-a-book library. The building has radiator heat for the colder months with multi-season ceiling fans in most rooms, and summer window A/C units (one in each bedroom plus a large unit for the remaining rooms). Warm weather access to the backyard with comfortable lawn chairs and tables to relax for morning coffee, an afternoon lunch, or a beverage to plan the evening adventures. There's also a small deck with a table and 2 chairs just outside the back door. Your hosts and tenants live in the building. We are a working group, so please, ABSOLUTELY no parties or late night loudness. Quiet hours 10pm-7am. Guest access Guests have full access to the apartment as well as the shared backyard patio and garden. There is also a small outdoor back porch with a cafe table and two chairs. Laundry unit in building just steps down from your unit. Free secured garage parking space for one vehicle. Street parking is also free, and it is usually easy to find parking near the house up until 7:00 PM. After 7:00, it can get more populated, but even then, spots can be found. Our neighborhood is genuinely the best parking situation out of anywhere we have lived in Chicago. Other things to note We welcome families with children and want to inform you it isn’t set up to be “child proof”.
