Home in Elizabethtown

Stoneleigh has been a castle-like home in the beautiful Adirondack mountains for over a century. This historic house is within walking distance of restaurants, the grocery store, coffee shop, museum and is the gateway to the high peaks. We are back on Airbnb after an extended stay by a local resident! It is several miles off the I-87, with easy access to Lake Placid, the high peaks (hiking, rock/ice climbing), rivers (fishing, kayaking, etc), Whiteface Mountain and more!! The space Stoneleigh sleeps 13 comfortably with five bedrooms and has four (4) bathrooms: two (2) full bathrooms, and two (2) half-bathes. The castle-like home features an impressive main hall, large living room with grand piano, a library, dining room and beautiful front porch. There is a brook running through the front of the property. We opened a beautiful new kitchen with a coffee bar in June 2021, as well as updated the heating in 2022. No parties allowed at this property! Guest access Key-code entry with access to the full stone house. Other things to note We do not allow parties or video shoots without the direct, expressed permission of the owner. Contact the owner directly and indicate the type of party/shoot, how many guest total (max), the occasion, and a description of what types of activities are happening. There is no exceptions, i.e. you must get permission. The house has a septic system therefore wipes (even for toilet wipes) cannot be used. No exceptions as it clogs the septic system. The fireplaces can NOT be used in the house. They are NOT up to fire code!!
