Our Surf Cottage was renovated in October of 2018 with new appliances, furniture and bathroom fixtures. Front bathroom remodel was completed in November 2021. Enjoy an open floor plan with a large back deck - complete with propane BBQ & outdoor seating. Please note as we live on a private street, the road is mostly gravel and has some ruts. Definitely accessible with all vehicles but reach out if you have concerns. We are located exactly where you want to be during your visit to Pacific City. Short walk (.2mi) to the beach, Pelican Brewery, Pacific City Market, Ben & Jeff's Taco's, Moment Surf Shop, Meridian Restaurant & Spa; and more! Master Bedroom: - Private Full Bathroom - Exit to back deck - Queen Bed - Large closet for storage - Washer & Dryer located here Second Bedroom: - Full Bed - Large closet for storage - Electrical Breaker Box located here (to left of bed) Third Bedroom: - Twin Bunk Bed - Closet for storage **Please DO NOT climb on top of the closet - not safe - no guard, not suitable for sleeping. Master Bath: - Located in master bedroom. - Larger shower of the two with newly added 'rain shower' style shower head - equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - Sink - Toilet - Towels located on shelving by the front bathroom Guest Bath - remodeled shower (November 2021) equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - Toilet - Sink with vanity equipped with Hair Dryer, toiletries, towels. ENTERTAINMENT: When you can't be out at the beach.. Cable TV & WiFi is available. Our smart tv allows you to sign into your favorite entertainment apps (just remember to sign out!). We also have a wide variety of DVD’s and Xbox gaming console, the Xbox plays all DVD's and BlueRay. We have a handful of video games available, with 4 controllers. A variety of board games are available as well in the closet closest to the door. Heating: - Wood Burning Stove: The coziest asset of the Surf Cottage! There is wood available outside. We also provide 'fire starter' kindling inside the wood bench next to the fireplace. We do ask you to only use 1-2 sticks, all you need if you build the fire properly, to get your initial fire started. There is a hatchet outside to make smaller pieces of wood & kindling. Tip: Continue to replenish wood supply inside to help dry out pieces during the winter months. - Plug-in oil heaters in closets of rooms: Here to use for the chilly nights. Please make sure to unplug when you aren't home. - Thermostat: The thermostat is straight ahead as you walk in the front door. The heater is old, so it's pretty noisy. We like to use the fire place instead to heat the home. - Bathroom electric heater: gets VERY hot. Please make sure nothing is close to it and turned off if leaving the house. Kitchen: - LG appliances including double door refrigerator & large pull out freezer, electric stove & oven, dishwasher, and extra large toaster oven. - Range of pots/pans, cooking utensils, crock pot, coffee maker, rice cooker, large convectional oven, pancake griddle and more available to make most meals. - Olive oil, sugar, coffee, commonly used condiments and variety of spices available to use. Dining Area: - Dining table complete with 6 chairs. There is an extra chair in the 'Bunk Room' if needed. Outside Deck: - Dining table complete with 6 chairs for the table and 2 off to the side & 2 out front. - Propane BBQ - Gated surrounding fence for the deck. Backyard: - Mostly sand, although the weeds take control often. - Fire pit - yard is not fenced - neighbors dog (Apollo - black and white dog) does run free most of the time, very friendly. Trash Service: - If you are staying at our home on a Tuesday, please put the trash out for pickup on Wednesday AM. This is an animal guarded trash can, you just have to press the inner silver latch on top of the lid to open. You have access to the entire house. Garage is owner use only. Please keep shoes at front door to limit sand in the house. I am available via text/call/air bnb messaging from 8am-10pm daily. I respond quickly during available hours. We are located on the most charming road in PC. Street parking is not open to the public. Our neighbors are wonderful and most are permanent residents. We are a .2 mile walk to the beach and the heart of Pacific City. Our Surf Cottage is within walking distance to all of Pacific City. Pacific City does have public transportation, bus stop is in front of the Pacific City Market. If you do not want to drive your vehicle on the beach, the walk from our home is about .2 miles. FOR GUESTS WITH ALLERGIES: While we enjoy our Surf Cottage, we do have pets. All dog breeds are hypoallergenic. We do not allow dogs from renters. Please reach out with ANY questions or concerns.
