Top of Algonquin BnB is located 3 kms east of Hwy 630, on Peddlers Drive, near the Hamlet of Eau Claire , 14 km from Mattawa, 30 kms from Kiosk, Algonquin Park. Our home offers spacious accommodation, bright sunny rooms in a quiet, pastoral setting. Eau Claire Gorge, Samuel de Champlain PP, and Antoine Mountain ski resort, are all a short drive away. Cost quoted is for up to two people in one room. We offer full breakfasts and will also prepare delicious dinners upon request (cost extra). The space Relax and enjoy our three-season sun room, enjoy the views from the front and rear decks, or curl up near the woodstove in our lower level family room. If it's rainy, you can enjoy some Netflix or Amazon Prime and Starz, a book or a boardgame. Start or end your Algonquin Park, Samuel de Champlain, Antoine Mountain or Nature's Harmony adventure in comfort! Free Wi-Fi and both an indoor and outdoor clothes line is available to dry out that wet camping gear! A large firepit for you to enjoy is located a few steps off the back deck. Firewood is provided free of charge. Guided nature walks, by foot or snowshoe can be provided, including night time treks by snowshoe. Relax in our hot tub, new for Sept. 2022, which is available free for guest use. Guest access Guests are welcome to use all rooms in the house except the master bedroom and associated en suite. Available rooms include a beautiful three season room, living room, dining room, family/TV/games table room , weight room, two guest rooms, and 1.5 bathrooms. Large south-east facing and north-west facing decks, and 68 acres of land are also available for your use and enjoyment. Guests are welcome to use the small refrigerator located downstairs, but please note that as a traditional bed and breakfast, we do not permit guests to prepare food on site using our facilities. Relax in our hot tub, which is available free for guest use. During your stay Your hosts, Colleen and Rick, will generally be on-site and available to assist you in any way during your stay. We love to socialize with our guests if that's something they would enjoy. Please note that two very friendly and well behaved dogs live in this house as well. Other things to note A hearty breakfast, suitable to carry you well into the afternoon, is included in the cost of your stay. Our breakfasts may include any of the following, subject to your likes and dislikes: eggs (any style), omelettes, whole wheat, rye or homemade sour dough bread toast, bacon, sausage, or Canadian bacon, homemade pancakes, Finnish pancakes or Belgian waffles featuring locally made, award winning Bella Hill Maple syrup (Powassan), or homemade syrup made by your host from sap collected from on-site red maples. We also serve homemade jams, homemade granola, oatmeal, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, grilled vegetables, tea, chai latte and coffee. Homemade challah and sour dough breads are often also available. Three course dinners can be provided upon request (with reasonable notice please) for an additional fee of 35 dollars pp, 17 dollars for children under 12. Children under 5, no charge. We serve traditional "Canadian" food or something more ethnic in nature like Thai, Chinese or Indian dishes. Homemade desserts such as cakes, pies or crisps are always included. Photos of typical full course meals and desserts are included on this website. We also offer "pub food" type meals. Typically these include meals like beef or chicken stew, chili or spaghetti, with home made or crusty bread, salad and dessert, or burgers, salad and dessert or similar dishes. "Pub food" dinners are available for 30 dollars per person or 15 dollars for children under 12. Children under 5, no charge. Please note that all guests in one 'party' are served either full course dinners or "pub food" dinners; variations within one party cannot be accommodated.
